1 The "Free Speech Zones" you describe aren't a good thing. People do have the right to peacefully assemble. |

1 Peacefully assemble, yes. Harrass people, no. |

1 Most forms of protest involve actual 'protesting', and it's typically vocal. You can always counter-protest. |

1 Yelling 'baby killer' at a woman who may, OR MAY NOT be having an abortion done at the women's health clinic, is not peaceful assembly, but harrassment. |

2 Christians are supposed to always follow god's laws when man made law conflicts. While the Constitution may give xtians the right to peacefully assemble, they should not be praying in public. Those who go outside those clinics in order to pray out in public violate mr. Jebus' rules against religious hypocrisy: And when thou pray, thou shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou pray, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret…[Matthew 6:6 & 7] It is no wonder that god and mr. jebus never answer their prayers for abortion to stop! As a xtian, you should know how mr. jebus and god feel about religious hypocrites. They are doing it wrong. Mr. jebus said not to make a public spectacle out of praying in public, but to go in the closet and pray..... mr. god is powerful, he will hear your anti choice prayers from the closet and stop the abortions right away, providing you believe in him! Mark 11:24: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. If god says, "believe that you have received it, and it will be yours," and if we believe in god and his power, then what should happen if you pray to end abortion tonight? It should be done, if it is his will. Either that, or God is lying. Xtians have been praying and saying rosaries outside clinics for 36 years and so far, those prayers haven't worked because Roe remains intact. Of course, you could pray that someone shoot the abortion provider or that someone bombs the clinic, but how christian would that be? God is punishing those sinners who pray in public outside clinics by not answering their prayers.... and for wantonly and willingly refusing to follow mr. jesus' commands, as relayed by mr. Matthew, they risk a one way ticket to hell. So do as mr. jesus commands. Leave those clinics and go home, get in the nearest closet and pray for abortion to stop in his name, or burn for eternity... god doesn't want to send anyone to hell.... your own actions condemn you. Not a sermon, just a thought.... I'm Pastor Bob and I approve of this message! |

1 I don't know what to tell you. I DID say that protests are vocal. The law says you can assemble and protest. What do you want? |

2 Like I said, that's not peaceful assembly, it's harrassment. I want harrassment to be as illegal for them as it is for everyone else. |

1 Union picketers call people scabs. People at politcal rallies call politicians names. It happens on all sides of a protest-unpleasant things are said by both sides. It's unfortunate, but it happens and its protected by law. |

1 Not protected by god/jesus' laws... How is calling someone a hateful name demonstrating the kind of love your jesus wants his followers to show others? Love your neighbor as yourself..[Matthew 22:39] So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you.[Matthew 7:12.] |

2 Harrassment is never protected by law, except in the case of anti-choice protestors. The buffer zone is to protect the clients from being interferred with when entering the clinic. Your example fails, because not all women going in are going in for abortions. Abortions comprise less than 10% of what goes on in those clinics. But, that doesn't stop them from harrassing all women entering. And, how do you explain the protesters doing the same outside of PP clinics where abortions don't even occur? |

2 I only posted that precise message once. Why are you lying? Nice deflection.... Now, address the points I just made.... 1) How is it "christian" to judge others? 2) What is the excuse that xtians make when they deliberately disobey jesus by praying out in public instead of in their closets? 3) Why hasn't god answered any of those prayers to stop abortions after over 36 years? 4) Why hasn't god overturned Roe by divine intervention if he finds abortion so appalling? He is "all powerful," right? If he could destroy the whole word in a temper tantrum by creating a giant flood, surely putting a stop to abortion would be an easy feat for him to perform, right? |

1 Variations on a theme, Bobby. You can stop the dodging, please. Now you want me to explain the actions of God? Ask someone else who enjoys straw man arguments. |

1 I'm not dodging.... you are... You're doing the "Fundie Sidestep!" <<Now you want me to explain the actions of God?>> You claim to know god doesn't like abortion... so maybe you can explain YOUR unchristian actions and those unchristian actions of anti-abortion protesters.... <<<Ask someone else who enjoys straw man arguments.>> I asked direct questions that any real christian could answer, if they were honest... The only strawmen are your non responses to the questions... I'll ask them again: 1) How is it "christian" to judge others? I am asking for your answer... not god's... 2) What is the excuse that xtians make when they deliberately disobey jesus by praying out in public instead of in their closets? Once again, I'm asking YOU about god/jesus orders not to pray out in public... how do you justify xtians praying in public outside abortion clinics when your jesus clearly disapproves?? 3) Why hasn't god answered any of those prayers to stop abortions after over 36 years? You seem to know what your god has in mind about how awful abortion/contraception is, even though he never mentions either one in the bible.... so you MUST have some inkling about what your god has in mind regarding what he still permits abortions, despite his ability to stop it with the blink of an eye... 4) Why hasn't god overturned Roe by divine intervention if he finds abortion so appalling? He is "all powerful," right? Tell me what is in YOUR mind concerning this... I will put it directly to you... If your god is really all powerful, and he hates abortions, what can't he seem to stop them? Why do YOU think he refuses to stop those abortions, despite his all powerful abilities? |
||||
Can you run any of my posts back where I even mentioned God? Didn't think so. I'm no fundie. To reply, God permits all manner of things, even things YOU might think are bad (murder, theft, etc.). Kind of pops your "big question to Christians" bubble, doesn't it? Big thinker there, aren't you, Bobby? |

I hope everyone noted that the the suit was filed by a Christian group. The ACLU wanted nothing to do with this. They only care when free speech of liberals is threatened.
