I would certainly hope that day would be within sight. It's been over 50 years since the first Surgeon General report linking smoking with many types illnesses and just plain poor health.

To "Peter." Why are you so concerned with ridding the world of tobacco? You obviously don't smoke. What's your problem? Major bleeding heart I guess. You ought to sit down and light up a smoke and relax.

Rather impressive that my comment would attract international attention. Bangladesh huh? The whole country's starving to death and you're worried about some guy smoking on the other side of the world? I think you ought to quit wasting time on this anti-tobacco crap and find a site on how to increase your crop yields.
PS. I will give you credit for understanding English half way. Needs some work but I got it.

I view any act of eliminating a potential location for smoking as a good thing. For each optional location removed marks a turning point for the person to elect a different choice. What do you do on a plane, bus, taxi cab, elevator, etc. when you cannot smoke.... you choose something else and this equates to fewer cigarettes smoked during that time frame. These people win out even though they think they are being forced to sacrifice.

It is apalling that the notion of a smoking rate of 5% by 2050 is seen as edgy. New Zealand's government has projected the end of tobacco there by 2025.
