Unfortunatly We the citizens have to take over from our so called ( POLITICIANS ) the job they are not elected to do for the people. they come to us begging like hungry dogs when they need our vote to put them in office to fill there pockets and status to show there grandchildren what there grandfather was and had done while being in the congress but hell with the suffering citizens with the most deadly decease ( ASTHMA ) I hope there children and spouses suffer like the rest of us, my precious wife who has been on this medication from the time she was 8 years old. suffered so much she is so scared and i am forced to make some arrangements withall my cousins in england to find some PREVENTOL INHALERS for her. they want her to die. Let me tell you somthing these politicians get driven in huge lamosines with there security & airconditions running 24/7 while ordering there coffee and when they sit on there fat asses answering stupid questions about some techinal issues and poluting the atmosphere but according to theses interlects inhalers like the PREVENTOL cause more damage to the ozone that's cockamania bullshit story by them and the dam FDA another bunch of frauds. one & many excuses these yo-yo's do not want to say is that they are partners and shareholders of these companies one of them who's family owned a pharmacutical company and had the balls to become a senator to serve the people but instead the truth is he could & wanted to pass some bills for his family business to sucseed. We as citizens should get togeather and sue the hell out of the FDA who is the biggest fraudlent institution and if you see the type of licencing fees they charge these crooks, and the Pharmacies take this on the poor citizens. I rather live in the jungle than live among these babrians who's mommy and daddies wanted them to go to HAVARD, YALE, DARTMOUTH, STANFORD,OXFORD,CAMBRIDGE AND SOFORTH so that they could save you and my wife.sorry for the mistake

I can not believe that I am being forced to suffer without the correct oxygen in my system because the FDA and the pharmacutial companies want to make even more money off of my suffering. What ever happened to human rights???? I thought living in the United States was the land of the free. We do not live in freedom as we are brainwashed to believe that. Now,I find that I will not be able to live a healthy and normal life as I will not be able to breath the correct way as they have taken the original PROVENTIL inhaler off the market and a new one with no CFC's are being sold, and in fact I am now being forced against my will to ingest a medication that does not work for me at all. There is no force of this medication and you can not classify this as a rescue inhaler. I am now living in fear because I have a disease known as ASTHMA with chronic breathing problems. I am so very scared because I will not be able to live a normal life. I take advair and I have a breathing machine as well but even with all that and the second hand smoke outside, and the allergies outside and the emission from buses and trucks and the chemicals inside and outside that I have to inhale its not fair that I have to suffer so someone can get rich. If the leaders of this country can not assist the very people that pay their salaries why do we elect idiots into these offices??? I bet if someone in their family has a breathing problem than they would get the medication. I am so tired of the United States, I am sorry to say that but its true. I am so tired of this county dictating to us what we can and can not do especially when I pay to live here. But I will say this,I will end up going on Social Security and be a burden to this counrty as well as SUE the shit out of the FDA for taking away my constitutional rights. I hope that there are lawyers reading this web page because right now they are messing with my life and breath and I do agree that these assholes are only after money, money, money, may they all go to hell and breath the hell of fire. I have been on this medication for over 24 years and after making tons of money on me they are turning their backs on the people who pay for their morgages, food for their family and health care benefits for their family. I guess after so many trips to the emergency room someone will have to pay. For anyone reading this it is my hope that we can all come together and file a class action lawsuit. Thank you.

On the right side find the phone number for Gillespie's Pharmacy and get some Warrick CFC Albuterol (you'll need to fax a prescription so get it from your MD or your current pharmacy).

Hi Eileen,

Thanks for signing the petition. I get my Warrick from Gillespie's, I'm sure you'll feel better once you get it- ask about overnight delivery.

There are two more things you could do that would be extremely helpful:

1) File an on-line MedWatch complaint (see link in upper right side of petition) for EACH HFA brand you had a problem with- Ventolin, ProAir, Proventil, Xopenex, Atrovent, Flovent, etc.

It takes less than 5 minutes/complaint but it is CRITICAL that we do this for each brand we think is not as good as the original CFC version.

2) Forward the petition to everyone who cares about you (yellow email button at the bottom) and to everyone you know who knows someone with asthma. allergies, COPD. Ask these people to do the same.

3) Post the petition link (copy/paste) wherever you can find sites, blogs, threads, forums-(health-related sites or not- we've had good success in car forums) keep the explanation short- two sentences- and tell people they can find out how to get Warrick CFC albuterol at the petition to motivate them to go there and sign.

i am a 71 year old woman who has had asthma since I was 6 months old. Shame on the FDA and the environmentalists for messing with the health of astmatics. When I was a child there was no help for me. I laid and struggled to breath for 3 days until it passed. I thank God for my inhaler every day of my life. Until they have forced all of us to inhale ethynol! Is this world crazy?? and try to tell your doctor about it!!! They dont believe you.. According to them they have had no complaints and I am the only complainer. This stinks. Please let us band together and get a good spokesman.. someone will die from this.

I want to encourage everyone again to PLEASE write to your state reps & senators and the President. Also, please tell your doctor and your pharmacist that the HFA propelled inhalers are not working for your attacks, and that you NEED your CFA propelled inhalers.

I realize that everyone is angry with "Fred" for his ignorance, but we should feel sorry for him. He has no idea what he's talking about, and he continues to feel like he needs to "educate" us. God help him if he ever had an asthma attack. An HFA propelled inhaler wouldn't save him from the attack, but it would make him shake horribly, give him an alarmingly high heartbeat, and frustrate him for lack of oxygen.

Instead of arguing with him, let's put that energy into contacting the people who can do something about it. Don't be nice to the government when you write those letters - remind them that you are the constituents responsible for putting them in office - and if they want the responsibility for the deaths of thousands of asthmatics - they will sit still and do nothing. We're not asking them to reinstate the use of ALL CFC's - we're asking for our inhalers back. Children are getting asthma in the US as rates faster than any other time in history, most of those children don't have insurance, and we all know how costly these useless inhalers are now.

Please stand with me and let your elected officials know how important this is, and that we mean business.

They've taken $1,000,000 at least from Teva/Ivax (ProAir) for 'patient education' and, together with the Allergy and Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics, actually petitioned the FDA to SPEED UP the CFC inhaler ban!

Yes, they are, as long as you like getting your "honest info" from paid hacks (in my opinion), who have taken many hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years (ALA took $1,000,000 from Teva alone, according to news reports) from drug companies in the name of 'patient education'. Funny, I always thought that DOCTORS were supposed to provide 'patient education' about the drugs they prescribe to their patients.

In return, these hack organizations (in my opinion) like the American Lung Association and the Asthma and Allergy Network Mothers of Asthmatics, stabbed the patients they claim they 'advocate for' in the back by petitioning the FDA to SPEED UP the ban on CFC inhalers, so that HFA-intolerant patients could suffer sooner, I guess. Blame HMO's for the bad pricings. Ever since their existance the USA has always had poor health care. All these companies are bribed by HMO corporations to make an extra dollar. It's futile to fight this ban. Too many greedy people wanting to push for higher margins. People would be better off moving to another country with socialized medicine (or at least somewhere like Mexico where the medicine is far cheaper than here). Sicko 2007 is a good watch for everyone to see why everyone suffers in America and I get to see people suffer before my eyes as they can't afford to buy their medicines from the pharmacy where I work at because the copays are too high or it's not covered.

You should get your facts straight before you post. I though this forum was designed to help people with the transition. It has turned into nothing more than a place for mis informed people to share their opinions; with hardly a fact to be seen. Those few individuals who have attempted to provide factual information are denigrated and insulted.
I was going to continue to try to provide facts about the transition that might help patients. After reviewing the typical posting here, I don't see the point in spending any more of my time trying to help.. so I won't.
the day when the last CFC inhaler is sold in america (which happens to be the last place in the world still selling them) is coming quickly. My wife won't even notice that date. She's already made the transition.
Will you be ready? Not if you spend your time reading this stuff and not working with your doctor to find the right alternative for your situation.
