Not only do they need to throw the book at Currie - he may die of old age in prison, but that's his fault. Additionally, they need to go after the Shopper's executives who hired him. I understand that it was his responsibility to disclose and abstain from voting on matters in which he had a conflict. However, a little due diligence by Shoppers' executives would have uncovered both:(1) that he hadn't disclosed his "consulting" position and (2) that he was improperly voting on matters in which he had a conflict. Thus, the Shoppers executives are co-conspirators in my mind and they need to be prosecuted as well. If there is only one fall guy for this story - Currie - then there will be 10 others lining up to take his spot, while the system that permitted this corruption to take place will remain. You have to scare the corporate executives into compliance by throwing a couple of these Shoppers executives in jail for a long time as well. Only then will other corporations think before acting to corrupt our morally challenged public officials.

To all the comments about throw the book at him, etc-how ridiculous!!!!!!!!!! I could think of a million things the FBI should be investigating-and this is not one of them. Lastly, how quickly the public forgets about everything a person has done to help them. The man has been in office for years and now all of a sudden because Mike Miller may not be president anymore and Currie could be-the FBI wants to "investigate". This country is ridiculous.

OMG!!!! I whole heartedly agree with the "this is ridiculous" persons post...you people are indeed that...leave the man alone...if you want to state facts about something know what the hell you're talking about...and to the Rob persons comment, that was unnecessary, someone needs to "throw the book" at you!!!...how about you go look at alllllllllllllllllllll the good things Currie has done since he's been in office and then make another comment!...I'm getting SO sick of people and their "opinions" on things that they really know NOTHING about...bottom line LEAVE THE MAN ALONE AND GET A LIFE!!!!
