I cannot imagine an entire family, friends, neighbors and community that "forgot" about Erica. No one asked where she was, could they call her, could they visit her? What kind of people are they? The "mother" had such a flat affect that I was not surprised to find out she was on pain meds. Refusing to take the polygraph and rushing back home.......hmmmmmm. Does make her look even more suspect to me. She didn't even consider (much less admit) that maybe, just maybe, it was a BAD decision to allow Erica to go with "Nan", "Strawberry" and "Kelly" and never contacted the police when all contact was lost. Well, Casey, maybe, just maybe, it was because Erica is gone, for good. My heart hurts after watching this story. I do hope the police find out just what happened to Erica and this pair of idiots do not get custody of their remaining children ever again.

It is so obvious that this precious child, Erica was treated so badly. I think the child was used to get money. I would like to know if there are any medical records showing she had been taken for any medical care. As a person who was abused, I can tell you that abused children are rarelu taken to doctors, dentist or ER.
The child has been missing for two years, the mother is telling a story that any logical person would never believe. The dad acts like he is scared to answer questions. Is she doing the talking because she is afraid he will let something out? What about the brother? He reported her missing. This kid has a lot of information that he is not telling. If the reports of his behavior is true, this boy has been abused too.
Whats the deal,,,,,,,,,,arrest all three. The three knows what happen to her. Has anyone spoken with the younger boys.
I fear Little Erica will never be found. Parents are the scum of the earth. Abusing a child with disabilies and that child disappearing: this doesn't require a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Does anyone believe Sandy and Casey Parsons?

Sandy and Casey Parsons have concocted quite a story to justify the loss of their adopted daughter Erica. They want the police to believe they handed petite little Erica over to a biological grandmother named Nan. The benefits were blissful; Sandy and Casey could keep Erica’s monthly checks for 634.00 dollars while mythical Nan spoiled Erica with a whole new wardrobe and pony rides. Twenty months passed before this delusion was finally exposed.

What do Sandy and Casey have to say about their fabricated story now?“We have been duped!” We will go and look for Erica now. Nan lives in Asheville near the Biltmore Estate so we will look for Erica in New Orleans. No, we do not have an address or telephone number for Nan and our online correspondence has been deleted, so. Yes, we know it has been nearly two years but we just need to find Erica and all of this will go away. We are model parents and we have not done anything wrong. No charges have been brought against us. We are not worried about Erica. She is fine, she is with Nan. Erica needs to pick up the phone and call. She is just being a rebellious teenager.

Erica was described as “healthy” the day she left with Nan from the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot, taking only the clothes on her back and a purse. Sandy and Casey kept a few remnants from Erica’s childhood: a few pictures, teeth and adoption papers. Not much to show for raising a child as your own for thirteen years.

When people are killed over a dollar or a cigarette these days (real cases in Baltimore), I find it totally plausible that Erica was killed for $653 check every month for years. I find it almost unbelievable that not one single person inquired (of authorities) where this poor child was for two years. TWO YEARS!!! For people of compromised intelligence (my opinion), they are rather clever. They got rid of her body long ago and have never been brought to justice for even child endangerment or any other charges. Meanwhile, they got to spend that blood money. Burning in hell is not enough punishment for these murderers.

I agree. It is hard to believe the entire family ignored the absence of Erica. They knew Casey was not capable of telling the truth and Sandy was complaisant. One anonymous telephone call could have started this search two years ago.

I will never understand how a person can hate and abuse a child for years. Sandy and Casey have no compassion for Erica at all. Casey continues to despise Erica and has the gall to blame her for not calling. Sandy just sits there unfazed while waiting for Casey to dictate his next move. It is sickening. Maybe Law Enforcement will find a way to get justice for Erica soon.
