Now I know why my little Suki is so miserable! She is flea bitten! I had bought from TotalPetSupply for two years and was satisfied. This last batch (6months worth) isn't working at all. I will be calling them, but I think it's a moot point. It's true that you get what you pay for. I just checked the box and it has arabic writing on a pasted on label. Why didn't I see that earlier?

Special Announcement #373 Ok
Subject: Counterfeit frontline website on ebay exposed: Catsmartplus
So far this video has 38 views.
I'm amazed this dope would go on TV to say he doesn't
think he did anything wrong.
I did NOTT stumble over this story by accident.
I have had a google alert set to capture news stories
about: counterfeit frontline
for many years ever since this message # 1173 from
Oct 2006 and here is what you need to understand:
The only time anyone is ever caught for this
harmful crime is when an alert consumer notices
a serious problem and turns them into the
If there was a news story about the Environmental
Protection Agency EPA finding counterfeit products
without some consumer leading them to the perp,
I am one of the very few people who would have
noticed that publicity via a news story.
In other words .... There is no government agency,
veterinary group or manufacturers reps checking
online retailers, discount stores with a real
storefront, or in this case, an ebay website
to make sure legitimate products are being sold.
I worry about 3,500 pet owners who apparently
thought buying frontline from an ebay website
was a good idea !
Please spread the word about this !!
I wonder if local animal shelters or HSUS could
play some role in spot checking the products of
local storefronts and/or online retailers in
order to generate some revenue and I wonder if
anyone has ever suggested this to PETA or HSUS ?

A man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in
Providence on Tuesday to selling illegal pet
pesticides on the Internet.
The U.S. Attorney's office said John Buerman, 51,
of Warwick, was selling misbranded Frontline and
Frontline Plus products.

All I know is that I've been using Frontline Plus for years on the same dog without issue. This year he's covered with fleas. I bought mine from www.vidalspets.com (an Australian company). The box shows batch #E62054AI, expires 05-2012. Perhaps its just a bad batch, but obviously I won't be buying is from Australia again....off to Petco to pay full price for the US version that I KNOW works!!!

this is why I pay the vet what they want and learned to stop and buy the medications no during a visit. its like playing with fire when you go online, but you'd have to be someone stupid to believe everyone selling online is legit.

Unfortunatly, it has to run its course, meaning, apprx 30 days!! I know thats gonna be hard but you could possibly hurt your pet or, worse! I would say after about 25 days after initial application of the "fake shit" U can apply the new.
For the people who are sticking up for these fake Frontline Sellers how can U not have a problem? Maybe its YOU who sells it? Its deceptive for one advertising that its 100% authentic and safe and by Meriel when Meriel DOESNT ENDORSE IT BECAUSE ALL THEIR PRODUCTS HAVE THE EPA STAMP ON THE BACK!!
I have recently filed with the EPA and with Meriel and am bringing an action against this online store. Its illegal and its criminal. People are getting 4 years in prison. 2 of those 4 yrs are to be executed (served in prison) while the remaining 2 are to be served on probation.
When your pets hair starts falling out and has that type of reaction because it isnt what was advertised, theres a problem! Its not that its not "made" in the USA its that its NOT made by Meriel and Meriel just happens to be a USA based entity. Why lie about it if its all good, authentic and safe?
If anyone wants to join me in a Class Action leave your email address and I will contact you with the online store information that I got it from and if you did to, you can join me.
NOTE: Real Frontline Plus will say EPA Reg No. on the back of the pippette.(Once you open the container the pippette is in there, thats where U look. It WONT be on the first packaging of it so open that up then look on the back of the pippette. The pippette is the container that the actual chemical is in.
EPA Reg. No 65331-5 <----------is REAL.
There will be NO RED LINES on the back!!

think about all of the vets that rip pety owners off everyday at 20.00 a dose for a product that can be bought in large dog doses and split among 8 cats or 6 small dogs for the same money
whose committing the crime
oir merial that intentionally packages the product in triangular tubes so the dose can not be easiliy divided for smaller cats and dogs

Different countries have different measurement of units and brand names, manufactured by the same company. They're not counterfeit if for example the Revolution you ordered came in a box that says Stronghold.

I see a lot of people are talking about ordering Frontline Plus. First of all, it doesn't mean that your medication is a fake. (although I'm sure its out there) I used Frontline for years on my dogs from my vet and paid the big fees for it. However, what a lot of people don't know is that Frontline was also recalled because it quit working on a lot of animals. Dogs and cats can become immune to it just like we can to drugs. My suggestion is to try switching brands like I did. I switched to Advantage Multi and my fleas immediately went away. I have been buying overseas for years now and laugh at the people that pay these rediculous prices. Instead of buying into all these lies, try switching brands first.

Personally I have been useing joes pet meds for well over two years, I have never had a problem with them.
I also want to bring up something about the flea and tick products used today lets go for K9 Advatix (not K9 Advantage, it's a common and easy mistake to make) and frontline.
Each product was developed for a different reason, if you read the packaging K9 Advatix repels insects and if the insect comes in contact with K9 asvantix it will die shortly after.
Frontline does not repell the insects, if your confused about this go ahead and reserch it. So what does it do then? Well I highly reccomend it if you have an active infestation going on, you see it contains a material that kills fleas and ticks after they bite (yes they have to bite first in order to ingest the chemical) while the flea/tick is dieing form the stuff it also inhibits the reproduction cycle, but you have to keep up with the stuff for a few months before the infestation clears up (review the life cycle of the flee).
Finally both products really don't affect the eggs (I know front line states it does, but flees tend to lay eggs in places your pet goes, and in places you four legged friends don't.)
K9 Advantix- repells then kills after contact
Frontline- good active infestation, kills after insect has bitten animal.

Interestingly enough, I have tried Frontline from US and overseas sources and non of it works. I just think the fleas have become immune to the stuff here in the Deep South.

And the sheep keep getting sheared. All vaccinations have an expiration. For Merial and the EPA to claim that Frontline Plus never expires, is pure poppycock. I've seen orange stripes, bought from Joe's Pet Meds, and NEVER had a problem, until now. The issue is, even if you look on the MSDS for Frontline Plus, there is a variance between the active ingredients for Frontline Plus. They allow between 7-12% and probably keep it down to 7% more than the 12%. Or they were running it up to 12%, and decided once they had us hooked, they would lower it to the bottom of the standard. So as a result, the 9.8% of fipronil, and 8.8% of (S)-Methroprene, are dubious and misleading since the MSDS claims from 7-12% can be expected.
Here is the MSDS for yourself to peruse.

Hi , just thought that reading these comments, they are pretty much the same as some of my own clients who buy frontline at the veterinary practice and say it hasnt worked. A number of factors may be at play here
1. yes you have bought a fake product
2.your pet has a real flea problem, or there are a lot of fleas in the enviroment.. each flea lays thousands of eggs so while you apply frontline, it may take 24 hours to kill those fleas, and in the meantime a new wave of fleas are hatching out in your carpet. I recommend that a household spray is used, make sure this is one that not only kills fleas in the enviroment, but also has a very clever insect growth regulator in it which stops flea eggs from hatching out (trimethoprene)
3.some research has suggested that some fleas are resistant to the longer established flea products, but other researches disagree with this..You may want to consider one of the newer generation of flea products if you suspect this is the case.

I ordered frontline plus for cats from Happy pets in California, it turned to be fake.
