My huband and I both grew up in Sauk Village. In2002 we had our third child. At 15 months old she was diagnosed with Wilm's tumor to both kidneys. She had her left kidney removed and 1/3 of her right kidney removed. Neither of our families have a history of cancer. By the grace of God,our 10 year old daughter is considered cured of cancer They said a possible cause of the cancer is envirnmental. Doesn't it seem ironic that for years residents of Sauk Village have complained about the water and nothin has been done? How many people had to suffer illness or the loss of a loved one due to their not following state and federal guidelines regarding the safety of drinking water. Look at the statistics, there are incresed of occurencesof cancer and oher illnessesin the area. I would say it is time somehing is done.
