These comments are evidence of how the American public has been duped into thinking that warehousing of our children into large buildings called public schools is the way to educate our children. Gathering hundreds of children into a building & making them sit still most of the day to be indoctrinated by the State is not natural, not effective & not desirable to many wise parents. Why is a public school the best place for kids to become socialized? Seems like the worst place to me.

And...parents do their homework for their kids. If they don't value their child's education any more than that...it is a problem with their character. My child's teachers asked questions about the curriculum on their scheduled phone calls. They could tell based on thier answers if they knew the curriculum or not. These same students take the mandated state test. I also had them take a standardized test. Guess what....my eighth grade son scored post high school. Not so bad!
