I wonder if the DOD is aware that an image of every document copied on a xerox is stored on a hard drive & when the copier is recycled, that hard drive goes to China.

Your makeing that up right ? Those systems in use by the goverment require software that over writes sensitive data 3 times with a random pattern. Those printers ( copiers don't have a hard drive ) have a number of places that they go to when they are recycled, mostly third party re-sellers.

I confess to forgetting about the security wipes, however, no I wasn't making the rest up.

OK, I'm "enlightened " and I stand by my original comment. Your youtube never mentions China , although I don't doubt some end up there. Most are bought by local resellers and it's not an issue for the goverment as they have security in place to prevent the problem.Forty years on the job and the goverment was always a pain in the ass about their security.
