What is it with these young men who think they will never be the one who contracts HIV/AIDS. They continue to conduct themselves without any thought to ther safety or their partners' safety.
Take a look on Craigs List and see just how careless they are - meeting up with complete strangers in their own homes when their wives are at work, etc. Even if they aren't concerned about their wives or life partners they should care about themselves.

I agree!! I had a good friend who was a dancer at a cabaret and you couldn't even imagine your butt how many men propositioned her every night day in day out, and most were married men with young children. They wanted oral sex (without condoms)!!! and everything else underneath the sun. And they say Africa has a problem with unprotected sex and HIV, how about here in America were men think and want to get laid all the time. Thinking with their lower head versus there upper head.

The AIDS epidemic was identified over 20 years ago. Anyone that isn't acting responsible has no excuse for their ignorance.

This is low-priority as far as I am concerned.
The U.S. needs to focus its resources on cancer and heart disease.
No new funding for AIDS.

Not surprised a bit. Between the Catholic Church and the Federal Government there is a resistance to teach safe sex. I only wish we would set moral issues aside and let scientifically proven prevention methods be taught to all sexually active persons.
Note: The two higher incidences of the HIV cases are people under 25 and menopausal or sterilized women.

Hey...who said gay sex never hurt anyone?
Guess what? Its does, has and is!
That's why the CDC won't let gay men give blood.
That says it all right there.

Remember in the 80's when the media and pop culture (and the left in general) tried to convince us that it was going to be a hetero epidemic?
Ooops.

Gays want to equate homosexual and heterosexual lifestyles ... which will mean equating intercourse with sodomy ... Sodomy is a dangerous practice. The rectum was not meant for that, and tissue tears, opening the bloodstream to infection ... and AIDS .... Do we want sodomy and intercourse equated? If the homosexual agenda is achieved ... that is a reality.

I really can not believe what I am reading here. What a bunch of ignorant people. To think that someone believes that leting gays marry will increase aids is crazy. Its unfortunate that aids is affecting hetro and homo people. But to think its just a disease meant for gay people is stupid.

To equate homosexuality with heterosexuality is to equate intercourse with sodomy ... and sodomy is a dangerous practice ... not to be equated with intercourse. If you doubt me ... it has already happened in a Colorado school. Do we really want this in all schools?

What, sex education that talks about how anal sex has an increased risk for fluid transfer due to the fact that rupturing the tissue is pretty easy and will induce bleeding which can lead to exchange of blood and subsequent consequences of blood-transferred communicable diseases and that precautions should be taken? Yes, absolutely. And exactly the same for risks in vaginal sex. Abstinence campaigns fail when people actually have sex, which is inevitable. We need to stop pretending it isn't going to happen and address the risks realistically. Down to and including, "Use protection, but also, condoms can break, so yes, you are taking lives into your hands here." Sheesh.

The right & "christians" were thrilled what was happening to gays when AIDS began. Gay cancer, gay plauge, wrath of god, etc... It took years before Reagan even mentioned anything, much less did squat, only until after recipients of blood donations were affected. It was typical conservative bs propaganda that caused AIDS to become much bigger then morally necessary. Even to this day, there are religious quacks who claim Katrina was punishment for New Orleans with their schedualed Gay Pride Parade. This is another example of comuservatives screwing people for their own narrow-minded agenda. Thank God you're days are numbered.

Roman B. Try making sense with your next post.
The fact that AIDS is not a "gay" disease at all...yet more than 2/3 of AIDS cases are amongst gays and almost all can be traced to "gay" male sex tells a story.
a story that most on the left won't tell or don't want to be told.
.....and yes. Its a huge reason Gay "marraige" is a joke that only people living in a false sense of reality (you) think is a good idea.
Gay male sex has NO social redeeming value...and can have many NEGATIVE social consequences.
Why should we put this on par with heterosexuals?
Oh yeah...because leftists are f ing nuts.

AIDS is a gay man's disease? Tell that to the 12 Million AIDS orphans in Africa, or the 16 Million women living with AIDS worldwide.
