It's about damn time!!! These degenerates have been inadvertenly holding senior citizens and residents in this area captive with their brazen and outlandish acts of violence for many years. These same fools have families that live in the neighborhood and had no remorse what so ever about the acts of crime they have been bestowing upon the community. Now while they are serving time, their loved ones have to worry about keeping a roof over their heads in NYCHA. Plus they are going to be looking for these same family members to send packages and money, accepting collect calls and to come visit them?? Instead of tearing the community down, they could have taken that same money and rebuilt the community. I would hope that the "others" that are looking to take over the operation take this as a lesson because many of those that have been arrested were youngsters between the ages of 17-25 and will spend a great portion of their lives behind bars. For $18,000.00, possible life in prison and a heavy heart???? Is it worth it???

On the flip side... this should be a wake up call for the community to come together and fight for programs in the neighborhood that will keep these younsters off the street and not be recruited by the thugs that run them. Remember, "It takes a VILLAGE to raise ONE child".
