This is a warning to all liberals that hold office in purple states. You were elected out of ignorance-not principle. You will be defeated out of principle-not ignorance.

What of it? It is not a qualifier to keeping or bearing arms. It is merely a reason for "we the people" to always stay armed. The SCOTUS has ruled as such. They have ruled that it is indeed an INDIVIDUAL right. So the other poster's question stands.....what part of "shall not be infringed" don't you understand?

I asked you to read it correctly for me, but for some unknown reason you are incapable of doing so, and turn into an a$$ instead.

<quoted text>If you really can read the second amendment, then you are guilty of willful obfuscation. "Well regulated militia" is not some separate and unrelated addendum to the second amendment. It refers directly to the right to bear arms.
A well regulated militia would be a group of civilians who are under the supervision and control of some sort of command. It is such a group, as the second amendment points out, that has a right to keep and bear arms.
This clearly does not apply to separate individuals on their own. I believe the second amendment is one of the most widely misinterpreted of all government documents.
I'm pretty sure that the 2nd Amendment DOESN'T say "....the right of the MILITIA to keep and bear armed shall not be infringed."

And you are correct. It is one of the most misinterpretted amendments......by those morons who keep claiming that it is some form of COLLECTIVE right. EVEN the SCOTUS says you are full of shyte.

Why is it that everywhere else in the Bill Of Rights where individual freedoms are mentioned (religion, speech, assembly, no illegal searches or seizures, etc.) they all refer to an INDIVIDUAL right, but all of a sudden in the 2nd-A when it specifically mentions THE PEOPLE, it means a collective group???

<quoted text>I am my own airhead, thanks.
I'm fully aware of the SCOTUS decisions on the interpretations of the second amendment. One of the great freedoms in this country is the right to disagree, even to the extent of doing so with such an august assembly as the Supreme Court. I already stated my opinion that the second amendment is widely misinterpreted. I meant to include the Supreme Court in that opinion.
As I see it, the SCOTUS is composed of nine individuals who are human, just like me. While all are assumed to be experts on the Constitution, they often argue with one another. In other words, they are fallible, again just like me. Based on my reading of the second amendment, I think I'm just as qualified to understand the English language as any of those nine human, fallible human beings.
Finally, I believe any Supreme Court justice who said the second amendment allows just anyone to own a firearm was wrong. They may decide the law, but I'll decide on my beliefs.
YOu are correct again. You are free to be as WRONG as you like.

Cho killed more people at Va Tech than Lanza did at Sandy Hook, and he did it with two handguns and STANDARD ISSUE magazines. When a mgazine can be changed in less than a second, magazine capacity is......say it with me......IRRELEVANT.

Since your brains are in your ass every time you fart you loose some of your ability to think. Have you ever read the preamble to the constitution....you know...WE THE PEOPLE... those are the very same PEOPLE in the second amendment where it says THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. You really should take your head out of your ass,the fresh air may do you some good

<quoted text>You make a pretty good Neanderthal point. People elect their representatives to make wise decisions for them. Those decisions may or may not in agreement with those who elected them.
Only Democrats need politicians to make decisions on their behalf. This gun debate is basically about Democrat lawmakers trying to prevent their own Democrat constituents from shooting each other. Responsible hard working citizens should not give up their rights to protect idiots.

If liberals in Colorado don't like the political climate, then they could move to Chicago:
less guns, more Democrats, more gun violence.

Well, actually you're probably safer living next door to your Republican neighbors in Coloado.

No such thing as "bad" guns. Tools can be neither good nor bad. There are only bad people.
