John Doe (not his real name - but the guy shouldn't be singled out any more than he already has been. If you really want to see his name, it's on the opinion from the Fourth Circuit) wanted to have gay sex with a stranger.

The problem is the lack of adequate identification
.
We need a law that requires prudes to have 'homophobe' tattooed on their foreheads
.

I've seen officer Joseph Darling's name appear many times in News Stories from NC. He's pretty popular in the park sex communities!

Must be nice to get a job with the State that has one soliciting for sex in public parks.

When we keep hearing how strapped budgets are, should we really be paying police officers for soliciting sex in public parks?

Be better if you Queers had [email protected] tattooed on your forehead. Be a lot less tattoos, cause everyone who's not Queer is a homophobe, according to you freaks.
Neither 100% bornstraight people nor 100% borngay people suffer from internalized homophobia
.
Homophobia is limited to #2 bisexuals with dubious sexual integrity

What does this mean? Rape is not mating. Rape is an act of anger played out on an unsuspecting victim.

Nobody wants to see gay sex in a public park. Nor do we want to see heterosexual sex in a public park. Parks are for enjoying the outdoors, for children to play, not sex. It is a crying shame there is even a need for Officer Darling, but as long as there is - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, OFFICE DARLING!

Who does this guy work for - the Fed? It is ironic because so many National Park employees are LGBT.

Well of course it's crude. Just look at the top of this page and see who posted the original article.

Dumpling, Officer Darling violated somebody's constitutional rights by arresting them for an act which he consented to enthusiastically, resulting in the person's conviction being overturned. If that is your idea of keeping up the good work, you'd be an even bigger idiot than I thought you to be.

I'll bet if you got eaten by a bear while Ossifer Darling was makin' whoopee on unmarked trails; you would sing a different tune; sugar

Good point. Why are local police spending money when this clearly falls under the jurisdiction of the National Parks Service.

I know for certain NC gets tons of federal money.

Maybe it's time you read the story. No one was having sex in public.

Officer Darlings job is to hang around public parks an trying to initiate sex with other males. How is that different from the guys who don't get paid for doing the same thing?

Maybe it is time YOU read the story. "Darling saw Mr. Doe on a trail hiking toward him. As they passed each other, Darling said hello. Doe grabbed his groin." Since when is saying "hello" initiating sex? Oh, of course, on Planet Gay, where EVERYTHING is about sex. I say hello to dozens of people in the course of a week. Not once has anyone ever grabbed my groin. I guess I have just been lucky that I haven't said hello to any gays.

I wouldn't doubt there are cops who expose themselves and then make arrests. That is entrapment! But the judges are always going to side with the cops. I guest the defendants need to start remembering a description of the cops' privates so they can out them to their wives after the defendants are arrested.

If someone agrees in a public place to go back to a motel and have sex I don't see how that is a crime.

There are double standards for gays and straights. Straight men flirt with women in public and that is just called flirting but if a man does that to another man the law calls it cruising and prostitution.

There are still two different Americas and we'll never truly be the United States as long as we are so divided with no full equality.
