"Earlier this month, Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) voted against a bipartisan measure to expand background checks for gun purchases conducted at gun shows and online and saw her approval ratings plummet by 15 points. But now the National Rifle Association, who spent millions lobbying against the popular measure is coming to her defense." Check this out: http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2013/04/29/...

<quoted text>......... So if you had an aspirin and a bad day, get into a fender bender, yell at the other person, you are now mentally unstable and cannot purchase a gun. Have a death in the family? Get a little depressed? Go see a therapist? NO GUNS!! This is a slippery slope in the manner that someone elses opinion, OPINION, opinion, based on the way they interperet a book, will severly affect your rights. This is grounds to refuse sale to anyone. Paranoid? Maybe a little, but it is based on watching these clowns "interperet" the law on many othetr occasions. Ask about the suit against Ct. Family Courts or the 50 million $$ suit that was brought against the entire Ct. Judiciary. What, didn't hear about those? Must be the selective news reporting syndrome that is in Ct.
Interesting argument. But if the choice is between being overly cautious and letting any loon own a firearm, I think I'd choose the Plan A.

Good. Put the bill in front of them enough times and the rightness of the bill will finally seep in through their thick skull.
Sixty-five percent of people favor background checks. Those who vote against it will do so at their own poitical peril.

Current firearms laws are not enforced. The NRA is not looking to neutralize existing laws. The NRA wants to stop needless legislation that punishes law abiding citizens and does nothing to stop criminals or the insane from preying on society.

The ATF doing their job? Is that like "Fast and Furious?"

News flash: Gun control is NOT about controlling guns..... Its about control, the guns are just a barrier to that goal.

Yeah right, you know exactly what your liberal socialist friends want. Traffic ticket on one's record equal gun rights gone. You tell a doctor that your not feeling well, and it's firearms confiscation. The liberal socialist want to fully and completely ban the private ownership of all firearms. Feinstein even said it.
I am not a medical expert, but you sound a bit paranoid. A traffic ticket does not equate loss of gun rights. It may not have been your intent, but your post did give a chuckle. Telling a doctor youíre not feeling well and its firearms confiscation time. Thatís funnyÖÖÖ..

The demorat socialist are already violating HIPAA. Guns are already being seized in NYS for mild aniexty cases where the patient is not a danger to anyone. Calling people paranoid is a typical liberal socialist maneuver to take "one's eye off the ball." The background issue doesn't pass for one reason, very few truth the people proposing it because of the "fine print" that is always attached. Personally I do not trust anyone that tells me they support the Second Amendment, when their actions are quite different.

P.S. Your posts are quite comical too; however, your demorat motives are transparently clear.

Chances are the people that vote no will be re-elected in their respective States.

God bless the Constitution and God bless the NRA for taking a stand to protect our Rights. 5 million members strong and growing every day. Keep those contributions to the NRA going.

Many of your "no" heroes are dropping in favorability ratings even as you rant.

I think God would disagree with you on whom to bestow His blessings. If I had to guess, I think he'd ask for some editing of the Constitution, and He would damn the NRA. But thanks once again for demonstrating what a simpleton you are.

Thank you, I always try for a bit of levity. Humor can be a good thing.

Just out of curiosity, since Iíve heard nothing in the press, could you site a case where telling a doctor you donít feel well, caused the forfeiture of a personís guns? This must be a preempted strike by the liberal socialists even before the passage of the bill. Sneaky, very sneaky, I can see why you donít trust them.

Iím not really wild about the second amendment; it is an antiquated provision more relevant to the late 1700ís than the 21st century. But it is what it is. There is not fine print to the bill being proposed. No matter how hard you look, invisible ink will not be used.
And I would never want you to take your eye off of any ball. Continue to be vigilant.

There was a case cited on Yahoo news last week, you seem very intellectual, so I am sure you don't need me to do your research.

Why would the Second Amendment be antiquated? Do you also feel the First Amendment or others are antiquated? Interesting, do you think the entire Constitution should be re-written to our liking?

No, this is a Wolf poll. But check some other polls. Some might even convince the conspiracy leadheads. Or else you could wait until the voters decide, that is, if you believe election results.
