Obama pledges recognition of Armenian Genocide

Full story: www.todayszaman.com

US Presidential candidate Barack Obama has pledged to officially recognize the controversial World War I-era killings of Anatolian Armenians as genocide if he becomes president, while also urging US lawmakers ... Obama wrote that he had a "firmly held conviction that the Armenian Genocide is not an allegation, a personal opinion, or a point of view, but rather a widely documented fact supported by an overwhelming body of historical evidence." "The facts are undeniable. An official policy that calls on diplomats to distort historical facts is an untenable policy. As a senator, I strongly support passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution, and as President I will recognize the Armenian Genocide,.."

No problem who will be selected. Americans do nothing for Turks or Armenians. They just do for their politics and benefits.

For today, we are ally of them, you are ally of Russia. What do you think will happen? Hussein or McCain, they will o course change when they wear the crown.

Of course, these talks are just for election. Clearly US support AZ and Russia supports AR.

He knows Turkey is a bigger bird to fry with the Armenian fire he is holding for the future. Plus, Hasan Cemal is a Reliable friend he admires.

Regardless of Caucasian policies. I'm not particlarly worried about McCain as I think he could be a good President, but considering his age I'm a bit worried that she could end up as acting President. How do people feel about Sarah Palin as a potential vice-president?

I think Ron Paul's candidature could be a determining factor in this election as he is bound to win some potential Democrat votes thus increasing the chance of McCain being elected.

It is unfortunate but if Armenians truly want something done they should gear-up & run for office.(Congress & Sanate).

Why because I love to see my fellow Armenians to wake-up & smell the coffee!
You see, Armenia is good because Armenians are faithful people, Armenia can no longer exist in this troubled world if they walk away from the faith of their fathers..
