How is it that such a con artist and a liar who has not done a thing for Florida is such a star in the GOP?

Jihndal or Christie actually have achievments and not self serving con artists, they should be the star.

As far as Hispanics go ,Rubio will ONLY carry the Miami "cuba libre" voters while Jihndal and Christie could carry a good percentage from all groups.

Obama was able to do it by playing on racism and he received 93% of the black vote and he never did anything for his state. Why can’t Rubio do the same thing and get 93% of the Hispanic vote without having any record? Qualifications have not mattered in the presidential election for decades.

What a dick Rubio was - first the water bottle thing, then saying how he benefited from federal loans for college, his dad died with dignity due to Medicaid, then goes on a tyrant about how more government won't help you.

Seems to have helped that little dickhead!

The face of the presidency? Not in your wildest dreams! Even Christie has a better shot, and he has none at all.

Yes and they love compulsive liars such as Rubio ,the list of his lies is endless from "We fled communism" meanwhile his family fled Batista's failed fascist gvmt and last night his lies were as rampant as always.

I found it hilarious when Rubio said that he still lives in the working class immigrant neighborhood as always. He put his up for sale after being elected in Florida and lives with GOP elite in Washington which is fine but the guy never tells the truth.

He must think his audience are the Cuba libre ,Miami Cubans.

"Marco Rubio Didn't Mention His Miami Home is for Sale"

As the Republicans' chosen rebutter to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday night, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida referenced how he grew up the son of immigrants in Miami, a neighborhood where Rubio still lives. What Rubio did not mention is that the West Miami house where he and his family reside is currently listed for sale for $675,000.

The ONLY Hispanics which will vote for Rubio are your zero political standard Miami junta.

"The Cuban community that doesn’t care about corruption when it casts its vote was critically portrayed by most leading city columnists and others, Cuban and otherwise. Robert Steinback, a Black Miami Herald columnist, said the Cuban community is gullible. Liz Balmaseda calls it “a knee-jerk majority” that would elect a hamster wearing a Cuba Libre T-shirt, and,“They only cared that he was Cuban.”

Rubio will only carry the Miami Cuban vote but you make a valid point "Qualifications have not mattered in the presidential election for decades" and I agree.

However people like Bobby Jindal or Chris Christie are the best candidates as clean as whistles and will carry plenty of Hispanics , Rubio will not because Hispanics we do not vote based on being Hispanic and Rubio in an inept con man, Miami Cuban style.

"Marco Rubio's lavish rise to the top"

Marco Rubio was barely solvent as a young lawmaker climbing his way to the top post in the Florida House, but special interest donations and political perks allowed him to spend big money with little scrutiny.

About $600,000 in contributions was stowed in two inconspicuous political committees controlled by Rubio, now the Republican front-runner for the U.S. Senate, and his wife. A St. Petersburg Times/Miami Herald analysis of the expenses found:

• Rubio failed to disclose $34,000 in expenses — including $7,000 he paid himself — for one of the committees in 2003 and 2004, as required by state law.

• One committee paid relatives nearly $14,000 for what was incorrectly described to the IRS as "courier fees" and listed a nonexistent address for one of them. Another committee paid $5,700 to his wife, who was listed as the treasurer, much of it for "gas and meals."

• He billed more than $51,000 in unidentified "travel expenses'' to three different credit cards — nearly one-quarter of the committee's entire haul. Charges are not required to be itemized, but other lawmakers detailed almost all of their committee expenses.

#####Rubio's spending continued in 2005 when the Republican Party of Florida handed him a credit card to use at his own discretion. While serving as House speaker in 2007 and 2008, he charged thousands of dollars in restaurant tabs to the state party at the same time taxpayers were subsidizing his meals in Tallahassee.####

I disagree because I think Christie or Jindal would win and do so by getting most Independents , I myself like them both and LOVE Jindal for going after corruption in his state while Rubio enables it with robo-calls for David Rivera but as more comes out about Rubio and the Miami zero political standards con man, inept and liar that he is it will show Rubio for what he is.

Rubio has ZERO ethics.

"Rep. David Rivera’s personal finances were already a legal black hole before he conspired to break campaign finance laws to prop up a candidate running in the Democratic primary for his House seat."

I think Rubio could run in 2016 and have a significant chance of winning. But actually I think he would be better as Vice President because the moderates and liberal would see him as too radical. Maybe a more centrist republican such as Christie or bobby jihndal as the presidential candidate with Rubio as Vice President
