How about not watching CNN regardless of what they do. They haven't been a reliable news source for a good 12 years now.

Women never knew how to deal with snakes. Even their first encounter with the serpent ended in disaster!

I've never heard of setting a snake on fire. We had nonpoisonous snakes around our house, but my dad always took care of them. When on a ranch, typically they got "lead poisoning" but never would think to set them on fire. Non-poisonous and poisonous...they are serpents and try my best to avoid them. Even the tiny ones...I just hate the way they move.

In today's PC world, guns are verboten, so people find other ways. BTW Non poisonous doesn't mean not dangerous! I killed a non poisonous water snake that was about 6' long and had a head about the size of my fist. I wouldn't have wanted a bite from him! Water snakes very often carry parasites and the sickness can sorta mimic being poisoned. There are no Toxic water moccasins this far north, but I've had people tell that their Friend, relative, etc got very sick after one had bitten them.

Now, she's homeless. They never found the snake. Sounds suspicious.

Ah, but you can get a license to carry which doesn't appeal to me.
