<quoted text>100% of the passengers on those planes died. Friendly fire might hurt or kill an innocent passenger, but the others would be saved and the plane would not be used as a missile to kill thousands more in a Skyscraper. Sucks. But, with a laser on the pistol, you can be pretty careful too, wait for a good opportunuty and drop the bad guy with minimal collateral damage. Its not like the good guy is going to "spray and pray" lead all over the cabin, that is stupid talk. The good guy is going to drop the bad guy, then shout something like "everybody ok?" A bad guy would probably keep on shooting, swearing and threatening. Logistics will always be different and need worked out, something to think about. Pepper spray and non-lethals could be deployed also. Bad guys get stuff past security. Good guys follow the rules and are disarmed.
I agree to a point, if one bad man is shooting, but with multiple shooters the confusion is magnified many times over. Plus the human condition under stress is different in each and every individual.

I agree with armed marshals, they can recognize each other. I agree with non lethal means the lessening of injuries can somewhat be delt with after the fact, but mostly I support thorough search before the flights leaves.

If given the choice, I'm pretty confident most would chose a small incovieance {searches} rather than the alternative {dying or being harmed}.

Not to mention your double-barrel is now empty. Great plan, Plugs. What else ya got?

Perhaps we should float Biden for SecDef?

Dearie, the president is a father and as "a qualified" president can offer condolences to those folks who are slaughtered by our gun-a-toting folks who massacre our children and others.
That is part of his job and heck - why not?- if it helps those in need of it?
If he didn't you frightwingers would be hugging your latest grinch-du-jour that he "does not care" for those in pain.
Geez, you people are stupid.

Maybe they won't with this administration. This turkey believes in taxing people into submission. Let's say after registration, DumBama proposes a $1,500 per year tax on each of the weapons he doesn't like. You could pay the tax or "offer" your weapon to the king.
Now it becomes an IRS issue. You owe back taxes unless you paid the fine or gave up your weapons.
Don't say it can't happen because it already has in different ways. The first thing the dictator did after invading the White House was place a sin tax on cigarettes. Cigarette manufacturers expecting such a move increased the price of their products. Afterwards he attacked the American Indians who sold cigarettes via mail. That wasn't enough though, he then taxed Roll-Your-Own cigarettes shops putting all of them out of business. Then we have Commie Care where you are forced to have health insurance or pay a tax there. Then he attacked us truck drivers. Now if we are caught talking on a cell phone while driving, it's a $2,400 fine for the driver. If he or she is caught talking to their company, it's a $10,000 fine for them. Mind you, these fines are only first offenses.
Yes, the Communist at large believes in controlling people via taxation. No, they won't send an agent to your door to force you to buy health insurance, force you to quit smoking, or force you to stop talking on a cell phone in your truck. Instead, they will control you through your wallet, so don't you believe they wouldn't do it with guns.
This is the "coercion" phase I've talked about.

Of course, don't expect the SCOTUS to protect us; CJ "Benedict" Roberts would just say the government has the power of taxation.

How about this one: Should it be banned, yes or no?

<quoted text>Just saying, what if a good guy fires at a bad guy behind you, how do you determine in a split second which person to take out? To further this scenerio, what if there are five good guys and five bad guys, who do you shoot?
With all this lead flying how many innocents are shot?
Thats why we have thorough searches before boarding.
Funny, this thought apparently never entered the minds of the NYPD and LAPD in recent cases.

I don't remember the folks who did not support Bush (and the war) grinching about any Bush-baby visits to folks who lost their loved ones by war, massacres, disasters, etc.

Perhaps this new grinch is just - well - a new grinch from the right.

To Tha Professor, you asked for example in the USA where registration led to confiscation. Here it is.In the mid 1960 NYC began registering long guns with the promise it would not lead to any confiscations, Fast forward to 1991 when NYC Mayor David Dinkins banned and began confiscation of some of the long guns. In 1992 spot checks of homes led to confication of semi auto rifles as reported in the Daily News

I expect Mrs. Lanza thought she was "a law abiding gun owner" but the problem was that those "law abiding guns" were used to massacre 27 folks (including the "law abiding gun owner").

So your answer, comrade, is that ALL guns should be banned and confiscated, even from the "law abiding gun owner" so that we can all be "safe."

BTW, PROVE that Mrs. Lanza was not "a law abiding gun owner."

The difference is that Obama is pandering and propagandizing in pursuit of gaining popular support for his anti-American agenda.

Demagogues have almost ALWAYS run this country, although I might let George Washington off the hook, at least.

Cretins like you ignore demagoguery if it's your own, and only discover this fact when the "other" side is running things.
