All of these employees suddenly became inappropriate?? Funny, all was quiet until they started mentioning other candidates for sheriff except their boss. Doesn't appear too good on the part of the sheriff. 1)If ALL of the employees were so bad, how and why were they employed so long? 2) Why now, after all of these years do they get fired only after contesting the current sheriff. Gives a very strong appearance of dictatorship and corruption.

Funny how he can not address the rully thing ,Garzoli or Perdock but he can go into detail with Morshed . Gee Rod fired March 12 and reported 6 days before the election .

This is old news! Sounds like they need to get rid of most or all of the LCSO and start fresh! I've lived here all my life and don't remember such crap with the sheriff's office!

This would have nothing to do with EEoc complaint , the email Morshed sent to the attorney general who then forwarded it to Mitchell , or Morsheds testimony at dinius trial . Rumor is that Morshed is going to file a federal lawsuit and that he will clean house .

yep, Perdock, garzoli and Moreshed all got promotions under Mitchell-then were fired by him! This is good leadership? When guys like Steve Davis start shilling for Mitchell you know who the bad guys in LE are supporting, it's time to clean house and get the LCSO back on track by electing Jack baxter for sheriff-the ONLY guy who can regain respect for the LCSO.

Get a grip.

Once again the sheriff has stepped up to the plate and handled a personnel matter in a legal manner.

Obviously those with an axe to grind will find everything Mitchell does as wrong.

Terminating any employee is not easy. Many employees are disciplined, but are not terminated because the infraction is not serious enough.

No doubt you would be screaming if the sheriff terminated people quickly - now that would be a sign of dictatorship and corruption.

And it took 3 1/2 years to get rid of Perdock, WHY!!!
Keeping Perdock on the books the 3 1/2 yrs. cost the County 3% of his salary in retirement for the rest of his life. Do the math.
3% x 3.5 yrs x his $100,000 salary =$10,500
That is $10,500 more every year Perdock will get because he was allowed to not be charged. Left on paid leave to accumulate retirement benefits by Sheriff Mitchell while our County Board Supervisors stood by and let it happen.
Is this who you want to keep running our Sheriff's Dept. Vote out the GOB's Club!!!!

Duh really, funny thing is, they don't have any evidence on everything they got on the search warrant. Nada, zero, zilch, and he is gone, terminated...Oh my gosh. I smell a lawsuit coming.

Wow better get Mitchell out of here quick, he knows he is done and he is going to try and get anyone in the past who has exposed him. He won't care those lawsuits will be after he is gone.

Murphy almost had it right, but he missed the word Rivero, vs Baxter, no problem, everyone know's what he means. If this isn't the perfect reason to vote for Rivero, then take off the rose colored glasses.

Go Rivero, the guy that did all the hard work and took all the risk to expose Mitchell. Baxter is just riding his coat-tails.

If the DOJ investigation is still pending, why is it Moorshed has been fired? sounds like some underlining excuse to get rid of him for other reasons! And your right, Moorshed did file a complaint many months ago with the DOJ regarding Mitchell and his questionable tactics within the Dept. Almost a year ago, and still nothing has yet to be done. Lets just see how quick they act on Mitchells complaint on Moorshed!

Record-Bee censors word "M a n i f e s t", Flogs Dead Horse
by Brian Rushing

Readers who frequent the Record-Bee section of Topix.com have found that a new word has been added to the profanity filter's lexicon. As of today, anybody typing the word "M a n i f e s t" into the comment engine will, upon posting, find the word replaced with asterisks by the site's profanity filter.

Profanity filters are a useful feature on internet sites. They are generally used for filtering words that are deemed inappropriate for mass viewership. Such words include ***t, P***, F***,****,, C******r, and T i t s. As editor of the Lake County Ma***est, I am honored and thrilled to be after T i t s.

In another dazzling display of ineptitude today, the Lake County Record-Bee featured a hit-piece by Katy Sweeny as the leading headline in boldface. The article, titled "Bills Past Due", to a large extent parrots the out-of-county reporter Glenda Anderson's article in the Press-Democrat from May 28th, but with added fabrications.

The article, titled "Bills Past Due", criticizes Anderson for his late payment of his girlfriend's debts for defective merchandise acquired at Kelseyville Lumber. Rather than repairing or replacing the defective doors, Kelseyville Lumber brought the case to trial against Anderson's girlfriend, Jennifer McGee. Additionally, Piedmont Lumber has sued Anderson, who says that he intended to pay the settlement which the hardware store's credit manager says is now void.

Many contractors and homeowners feel that the quality of Chinese-made building supplies arriving in the United States has been steadily declining as prices are on the rise at hardware stores. Homeowners are increasingly finding themselves stuck with both faulty merchandise and an outrageous bill.

Featured in Sweeny's article is a quote by Mark Borghesani, manager of Kelseyville Lumber, who has accused Anderson of using his "position" and his "specialization" to get out of paying his bill. The article did not give any details pertaining to this alleged abuse of power, or which "position" Anderson had abused regarding his bill.

Sweeny is on the Law Enforcement beat for the Record-Bee. She has recently been criticized as being excessively biased towards the Lake County Sheriff's Office and their supporters. Some speculate that she is related to members of the department.

Piedmont and Kelseyville Lumber are both supporting Jon Hopkins' reelection campaign.

smells sort of like the Wright case, search warrents served for a missing M-16 trigger, which was never found. lots of other possible suspects but no more searches-guess the guilty party was too close to mitchell and the rest of the GOBs. DOJ investigation? LOL, who woke them up?

The reality is that Brian Martin in a court document requesting a search warrent lists the EEOC complaint as the reason they suspect Morshed . He will clean house and them federal judges aint on the payroll like the old Lake county bozos .

brian, get back to school, get a job or get a life and some new friends, all you're doing right now is giving your mom heartburn and making yourself look like another one of the Rivero loons. Do you even live in lake County anymore? The thing that Anderson and Rivero have in common is that their egos exceed their abilities, and neither one of them will get elected. If Don was a good attorney he's be able to pay his bills on time, you don't see Doug stiffing businesses now do you?

Anything not to change the status quo, with the exception of Mitchel and Hopkins you think everything is just fine. Wake up Phil...Your on the right track, but just missing a few pieces of the Lake County reality. You are not half of what Brian is, not in intelligence nor in your ability to see the truth of things. Your still a bit upset that a group is making a bigger impact on change then what you ever could. Push the ego aside Phil it really clears the vision to reality a lot better.

Subject: Launch of the new Lake County Manifest Newspaper (LCM)

m a n i f e s t

As we have been indicating for the past month we are launching a new Internet newspaper in Lake County, the Lake County Manifest. Our mission is to provide a portal for the citizens to be actively involved in the operations and content of this newspaper, for it to be interactive with the public, and to allow for the maximum public participation from the citizens as possible. The quotes below sum up the current condition of journalism in our county and unfortunately in to many newspapers in society today.

“Ignorance, inertia and indifference are alive and well in America's newspapers. Minority still equals inferiority in the minds of many American editors and publishers.”
Loren Ghiglione

“One of the things that will keep The Front Page burning bright as long as newspapers are alive is the myth that newspapermen are breezy and raffish. What other play has for so long fed the self-image of journalists?”
Jay Carr

Based on the above maladies we as citizens are affronted with, in newspapers now days, we choose to go beyond that format and those deep holes of ineptitude, so many publications fall prey to. The newspaper is out and ready for your first look. Be aware we have set up the base format, and will utilize a maximum of your input to change and structure it as to your likings. We will value all of your input in formatting and evolving the paper as the next few months go by. We have purchased and secured the domain names associated with the paper, and this initial launch is the template for putting the paper on that domain. Since we did not want to wait until after the elections we have used a blogger content management system to start the launch and then will transfer it to the actual web page in a few weeks.

Structurally we have several reporters and contributers all ready in place along with welcoming all citizens input for articles and submissions to the paper for publication. In the longer time frame we will be utilizing video feeds and other audio input to the paper submitted by the public and by our people. We will be printing copies on a periodic basis and have not set the time frames for that yet. As we are ramping up earlier then expected, we will be placing new content in the paper as we get it in., and as we evolve the process. For any of you who want to be contributers or reporters, if you have ideas on weekly or daily sections, for any and all those concepts please send us an e-mail. We have also placed a link on the sheriffmitchellwatch blog page so you can access the paper directly from the blog.

This citizens newspaper, will be focused on the county, the LE, the BOS, and the local government as a whole. We will also concentrate efforts on culture from all walks of humanity, from art to music to history in our county. There will be political sections along with citizen input on each article, and from all sides, with a connection to discussion on the Blog which will stay intact. We will engage a slow and controlled ramp up as the weeks go by so be patient as it evolves.

Each article is available to comment on individually as is the norm in current Internet papers and blogs. We hope everyone enjoys the new paper, we value your input very much and look forward to a long and successful relationship with the citizens of our county and this interactive publication. All input articles, opinion pieces and suggestions can be sent to either [email protected] or [email protected]
Go to: www.lakecountymanifest.com for your first view of the new paper!!

When someone receives defective doors, warped doors scratched new doors or leaking doors there is no way in H----that I would pay for such items either. The lumber company has a duty to replace them. Period.
I would also let all my friends know what this place did so they wouldn't get burned. Thanks for sharing your side Don Anderson.

Vote for Anderson
