This week, I decided to list the reasons I would not vote for Barack Obama in the next election. Full Story

Sorry little buddy but the left being tolerant doesn't mean they have to accept your hate or ignorance.
MY hate and ignorance?

Do tell...or do you call everyone who doesn't agree with you hateful and ignorant?

A man walked into a bar and said: "hey there's a Mexican outside"

Six Americans got up, went outside and shot the Mexican to pieces.

You know they're all taking their last gasp of air when they cry that we're not tolerant to their hate and stupidity.

You sure seem to enjoy making fun of people.

Thanks but I don't think they will have any info on this new probationary status yet.. But a time limit should be put on them and the government regarding border security and enforcement being completed before any green cards issued..

What's your motive to place a time limit?

<quoted text>Good to see you, Jester! I understand your confusion because I had always seen it referred to as LPR = legal permanent resident.
I seems to me adding the legal to it becomes redundant.. Unless there is such a thing as illegal permanent resident.. Just saying..

Actually there is an "illegal permanent resident" status. See The DREAM Act. These people are still illegal but also permanent residents.

I have to disagree with you T. They know. They know that you agree with them, but it's not enough. These people's pompous self righteous views don't leave any room for accepting or being friendly with others that don't line up with with them. I am the enemy, plain and simple and you simply being simple and friendly with me is "against the code".
teddyr4me wrote:
<quoted text>What is even sadder is the fact that when we listen to the other side's views, it might open up a dialogue that bridges the gaps in our beliefs. We are all human, and as humans, we need to constantly move ahead, trying to learn from others and our own mistakes and misconceptions.
That openness is what separates you from these miscreants. It really isn't a left or right thing, it's a personality disorder thing. These types flock to anonymous forums to indulge in their obsessive urges to control others. The "fight" is all they have. People who learn from each other are what make the world go round.

<quoted text>Strange as it may seem, I do know that some of you folks on the other side, actually agree with a lot of what my side thinks, and would find that out if they would let up on smack talk. I still view illegal immigration as something that is not good for OUR country, but I also know that we can't simply remove all of these people.
Well, most of us have been guilty at some point for the "smack talk", including myself, but Conservatives here and in the media have built a reputation for themselves of intolerance and hate. I'm not talking about you T, in my opinion, you're one of the exceptions, much like White American, Non Complacent Twink etc..and I know there are many conservatives like you.

<quoted text>I have a hard time seeing people, who have broken many laws, being rewarded for having done so. It is just hard for me to accept. I don't hate these people, but I do hate their actions. How will they ever learn to comply with our laws, if they keep being forgiven for breaking them? Oh well, I hope YOU have a good day, as I intend to do my best to have one!
I like this quote:

That is a good quote, lol. I understand where you're coming from on this debate. For me it's always been about being realistic about what our Government is going to do and also being honest about the people involved (illegal immigrants). There is an enormous amount of bias, hateful, misinformation and that is all I've ever been against. You have a great day as well. Don't feel like you have to explain your stance on the issues every time these jerks want to play these childish games. ;)

Oh, there's no guilt trip intended.
I simply enjoy reading the sanctimonious "they, them" posts.
Truth be told, the vast majority of Topix posters don't know the first thing about being "tolerant."
Well, it's kinda impossible to tell the truth about "they, and them" without using the words "they and them".

I'm glad you "enjoy" it. Whatever floats your boat. ;)

Yes, the "majority" of Topix posters that have been here for some time and have been exposed to the malevolent atmosphere naturally can appear...abrasive. Topix makes it pretty clear if you are easily offended by heated discussion, don't use Topix.(paraphrasing)

Bite me azzhole. I've read your preadolescent crap and just ignored it 'til now. I never could understand why people needed "socks" until now- there cannot be that many people able to post a coherent sentence that share your views. THEREFORE, if anyone feels the need for a ghostwriter (a.k.a.fake fan) it's you. I can understand, therefore, why you think eveyone who agrees with someone else is a sock.

What's so sad about you tea baggers is that you have this blind hate for anyone or thing that doesn't conform to your cookie cutter religion & outdated ideology, you all have a full flowered self rationalizing inability to accept the outcomes of elections and possess an un-American characteristic of spiting democracy.
Ah, you're refering to the "outdated ideology" that made America great and refused to give her (our) proceeds away. Yeah, I can see where an ungrateful whelp like you would have a problem with that.
