<quoted text>How could anybody ignore the plight of the unemployed and the record number of unemployed owing to jobs lost in recession and to outsourcing and offshoring and bone headed trade agreements that never took the plight of American workers into consideration as globalists jockeyed for instant gratification?
It wouldn't have mattered if Thomas Jefferson took office when Bush departed. The Great Recession was underway, and Barack Obama didn't create it. NOBODY could have fixed the problem in four years. We're nearing the half-way point to a recovery IF nothing else goes wrong. In the Great Depression, we didn't have foodstamps. People literally starved to death or died in the elements of nature with no roof over their heads to call home. Entire families lived in storm drains or in caves. Than God we have eliminated that kind of miserable death with social welfare programs.
So Obama's blameless -- he didn't add trillions to our debt -- he proposed such a workable budget -- the debt Bush added was "unpatriotic" but it was ok for Obama. Obama will NOT reduce costs, will NOT reduce the debt, will continue to spend more and more on more and more government programs, refuses to even reduce the rate of increase to those programs. All he wants is more and more money to make the government bigger and bigger and the sole solution to problems we face.
He can't continue to play Robin Hood -- the rich will either leave or become not-so-rich and have no more money to give. Then what?
Printing money is simply kicking the can down the road to make someone else take the blame and to make our children and grandchildren suffer the consequences.
That is not leadership.

I will pray and thank God to see fit, with our debt being what it is, to KEEP the money somehow-for these programs! He, is very unforgiving in feeding the lazy, which sadly those are the many feeding, at the gov. trough!

Seems some Sandy victims are NOW in the freezing temps with no heat! Wonder how THAT happened as, "that kind of miserable death" may not be eliminated it seems!

<quoted text> Just because you walk around in a potato sack doesn't mean everybody else in America is a "loose woman" because they like being women. How old did you say your mother was, or was that Hooey who weighed in? It's so hard to tell you two apart.
Question? So what are you implying here?
You are responding to a poster named, "Hell on Heels" BUT you mention, "how old did you say your mother was?"

I gladly and thankfully mentioned MY mother yesterday being shy of 92...never saw a post where "Hell on Heels" or "Republican Honey" NOT Hooey said anything about their mothers! May be that I missed it! Did I ?

So, if YOU are implying as to the mother statement(weigh in) and me...QUESTIONS! Why is it that YOU cannot accept what a person says without doubting? Why do you assume so much in a very negative way?

At 120 lbs. and having the bone density and muscle tone of a 40 yr. old(just had those tests) AND being just shy of that big 6-0 age range-honey I do not wear a potato sack! I have told YOU before, I wear skinny jeans and leggings too, BUT unlike how YOU described wearing them! I am happily married and have always dressed in style BUT with class! I accept and love my age thankfully so......so I do consider my age with the style and being stylISH!

IF, I was wrong will you excuse and pardon me? Have a nice weekend.

<quoted text>Since you've been here awhile, I'm sure you already know the answer to that question.
I was open to change, but when the change the Republicans had in mind was vaguely outlined, I was convinced it was nothing I could vote to change to. It sucked lemons. Most voters agreed, and the President none of you thought had a prayer in Hades of being re-elected....well, he WAS re-elected, because the option was a man who thought we had been so dumbed down we couldn't add, subtract, worthy of his previous tax returns, or be able to discern what his plans meant for most of us. Nothing good. So, we passed.
On the other hand, I will long be perplexed that so many of the very people Obama is trying to protect from further harm, are so naive that they still think further entitling the very folks who've screwed them for three decades is the way to go. Sleeping with the enemy, you are.

Higgans, I was commenting on another poster's perspective. I considered posting directly to you, but then, the other poster might not see it, which was my intention. My apologies for being rude. So no, no clics here; jr. high was rough for me - that's when I lost my dad, mom gone long before, and was uprooted to a new town, knowing not a damn soul. You aren't the only one who had a challenging childhood, and you see, I managed to become a pretty decent, capable person, just like you!
Now, go ahead and insult my intelligence or value system again. Silly old Bear.
ur intelligence is not the question.
ur recollection abilities, yes.
all I know of ur value system is what u show of it here and the POV u project.
as I recall our last exchange, it ended when u masked ur inability to respond further by calling me a mean ol' bully (or words to that effect) and QUIT.
I think I posted something along the lines that I thought I was dialoguing with an ADULT...
which Freespirit is posting now?
now, go ahead and insult my character... again.

the argument for repeating past mistakes is simple: the OTHER guy did it, TOO!
the differece being the purported reasons for their guy to do the same WRONG things... and to vote for the status quo.
that's how we wind up with Dick Lugars AND Barack Obamas.
instead of CHANGE.
oh, well, REAL change is happening as we type.

Oaky, I think you may be confusing visitation rights and shared custody. These are two totally different issues.

I just wrote this brief letter to Dianne Feinstein on gun control.

I hope your gun control bill fails and you get voted out of the Senate come next election. You're a hypocrite who carries a concealed weapon for your own safety but you think I should not have that same right.

well, Jax, judging from NTR's most recent posts, she doesn't support 90% of Obama's policies (trade, deficit, military spending, etc...) but would not vote for change because Romney was no more PERFECT than Obama. he was DIFFERENT, MIGHT have been even slightly better (or a whole lot worse). but there was NO gurantee. she wants a gurantee!
so, she bitches but stays the course...
voting for the other guy would have been working/looking for a solution.
voting for the status quo is BEING part of the problem.
simple, really....
the sooner the Progressive pols (Rs and Ds) can achieve their goals, the quicker the sheeple will see the TRUTH, the sooner we can start to rebuild a society based on what was abandoned decades ago.
either State by State, or, collectively. hence...
hurry, hurry, hurry...

When the far right comes in and gives ya a bunch of props for this one I just wanted you to know I gave you a clueless, nuts, spam.

We can agree on a bunch of other issues, but on this one I think you're way out in right field.

Yes, I think their interpretation and use of certain "facts" for ideoligical purposes is wrong and disengenuous.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
