I'm pretty sure the Americans colonists in the Revolutionary War would not have been able to defeat the British without guns of the same caliber that the British were using.
Guns will always keep us a free people, because no American government, either now or in the future, is going to try to repress a well-armed American public, even with a million soldiers, tanks, and bombs.
Wars are won with boots on the ground and no million man army is going to try to force their will upon 300+ million heavily armed people, but they will have no problem doing it with a lightly armed public or a totally gunless public.

Keep thinking that way and history will repeat itself.

Few Memorials To Forgotten Victim: Gunman's Mother

Rarely do residents mention the first person police said Lanza killed that morning: his mother, Nancy, who was shot in the head four times while she lay in bed.

That makes 27.

A private funeral was held Thursday in New Hampshire for Nancy Lanza, according to Donald Briggs, the police chief in Kinston, N.H., where her funeral was held. About 25 family members attended the ceremony.

Plus, a well-armed American public will always be able to take matters into their own hands if and whenever our government ever steps out of line, like deciding to tear up the Constitution and writing a new, more liberal-friendly one.
There you go. That's what's all about, isn't it? Go right ahead. Our government is not all you'll have to worry about. So you just go right ahead and 'start taking matters into your own hands'.

Fiscal cliff: Republicans have no principles
There's no deal because the GOP's confused: They're against voting to raise taxes, even if that raises taxes more

What’s truly amazing about the issues involved in the fiscal cliff is, at the end of the day, just how easy a compromise should be.
struggling to find the principle:......(cont.)

Government has no principles. I'm not fooled for a minute by the bullshit bickering from All of them. What's being decided now is how to best tell the people to anty up.

The primary goal of Washington is power money and a rich lifestyle, taking care of it's own. The People and the Country are secondary.
That's not the way it's supposed to be. But it is.

I'd wager, between retiree's, unemployed and those who don't want to work, half of the population is "unemployed". Taxes fund the Gov't and if we fall off the cliff, programs like Unemployment, school grants and good programs that most benefit society will be the first to go. Not to mention the across the board price hike for everything consumer.

Cliff or not, what won't change is the Gov't expense accounts and pension plans or the dollars skimmed off it's incompentence.

The Fiscal Cliff is a windfall for the Gov't, They get to cut what they give to the people and at the same time make people pay more for it. AND if it doesn't go over, they don't have to change a damn thing.

LOL! I had to look that up.

That's a nice amenity for a seniors-only pool. LOL!

How about:
-Free Viagra Dispensers in every bathroom.
-Drop-down Oxygen Masks in every bedroom. Like the ones deployed on commercial airliners when there's a sudden change in cabin pressure.

I am a gun owner in the USA. Gun ownership prevents crime as police arrive after the crime has occured. Gun removal from citzens only makes them unarmed targets from criminals who NEVER give up their guns. Britian removed gun ownership in 1997 and crimes increased. Chicago had no handguns for 29 years and it as/is a murder capital of the USA. Fear the government that fears your gun- there is a reason Communist countries don't allow you to own a gun! George Washington said "An armed man is a citizen, an unarmed man is a subject"- referring to King George. I will give up my gun when you GUARANTEE that the criminals do too. Crazy people kill with drunk driving- are you going to ban cars as well? Baseball bats? How about banning jet airplanes like the terrorists used? Fertilizer like what killed in Oklahoma Veterans Hospital?

For the morons who think we're a democracy.
Truth isn’t determined by how many adherents one can get to go along with you. This is why democracy should be fought off wherever it shows its ugly face, it can and will be used to justify anything a majority of voters wants. Theoretically, a majority could vote for selective free speech, or to have certain unpopular people thrown out of the country or killed. There is no law in a democracy except whatever the majority of people say is the law.
Why is it so popular then? Because idiots think they will benefit from having “more of a say in how things work.” True, if you’re in the majority that is. Advocates of democracy are either those who are really advocates of republics and are ignorant of the difference, or they are those who think they will be in the majority and will be able to vote themselves benefits.

I liked your post. I wanted to also add that eventhough I'm no longer funding the corrupt libverals, I'm not about to pay for anything consumer related in higher prices either, because that TOO gives them state taxes they can skim. I fully intend to make short trips to neighboring Countries to buy food and supplies, and ammunition should I need more than I already have, and in those 3rd world Countries prices are VERY low, and they have some really great food too. You can get stuff there you can no longer get here. Hell I might even get a box of Cubans to hand out! I've always wanted to smoke one of those and never have. Gonna have to do that.

Where there's a will there's a way. Just make sure you give these bastards nothing, and think before you do anything beause should any funds make their way into their filthy hands it will only prolong the inevitable demise of the shit. Cut 'em off, starve them until they are dead, or put a bullet in them. I really donl;t care how you do it, just make sure we erradicate the filth and we'll be rid of them for good. Let's all do our part to erase the filth from this planet like we should've done years ago so we can once again get back to our lives and start living again. We'll refounf the former USA again one day. I can;t put a date on that, but this communist Tyant and the filth he surrounds himself will be defeated and they will never be spoken of again exept to teach the Children is school what NEVER to attempt again, and to show what happens to those who become trators and destroy a once great Country.
