Ralff, I acknowledge that you are trying to say that because a moderator made the decision to administer the ban on Rewba and that moderator made that decision on the basis of Rewba breaking the Tos that Rewba is solely responsible for his banning.

However, the "reality" is that, you likely reported Rewba several times under several different accounts until the moderators had no choice but to ban him. Now, I know you will deny this, because you are certainly not known for your honesty. Denials from you are futile as far as I am concerned. I know better.

Regardless of whether Rewba deserved a banning or not. You set out to ban him because he repeatedly made you look foolish. In my opinion, getting him banned was a really spineless way to go but in "reality" you could not compete with his intellect so there really was not much else you could do, is there? lol

We're still standing. We have a long way to go to recover our economy, but it really wasn't Obama who put us on the scrap heap, and deep down inside and in the back of your stewing brain, you already know this. The Republicans didn't offer a viable solution or even make much of an effort to show an all inclusive formula. That was on them. Did they learn a lesson? Doesn't look that way right now. We'll see. But, if they let us go over the fiscal cliff in favor of protecting the wealthiest against tax increases, you can bet they'll pay more down the road. The wealthy may have started class warfare, but I assure you, they will lose this battle as long as every American who is eligible has a vote that counts.
Again, George Bush boasted about the fact that he had put more Americans onto the roles of home ownership than any previous president. His policies were largely responsible for the bad loans made to unqualified buyers in conjunction with the greed of realtors, bankers and Wall Street. Easy credit made it easy for Americans to overspend. I wasn't part of that program, and I don't suffer from it today. That's just one reason I support recycling what we already have in America rather than scrapping it. We're far too wasteful with our "stuff". Of course, the crap that's made in China is designed to break and be unfixable and end up on a junk heap somewhere. But, scientists tell us that if the boats stopped coming, we'd still have enough "stuff" in America to last us for fifty years.
Where we disagree is in how we should approach reducing the deficit. You're inclined to stopping social welfare that makes life livable. I'm inclined to go after corporate subsidies and tax credit for rich folks. Now, if you don't think we have a real problem with opportunity in America, you only have to look at the ratios of CEO pay vs. worker pay in the U.S. and compare it with other first world nations:
USA 475/1
Japan 11/1
Germany 12/1
France 15/1
Italy 20/1
Canada 20/1
South Africa 21/1
Britain 22/1
Mexico 47/1
Venezuela 50/1

NONE have been as OPENLY Prog/Marxists as this present Admin and certain members of Congress. at least, NOT in OUR lifetimes.
the real problem is the people like YOU that, by supporting even a little of such policies/subversion, YOU END UP SUPPORTING ALL OF IT.

That's right. Romney got 47%.
I just love saying that for two obvious reasons.
First, well, it's just plain funny. Second, a couple of days before the election I posted that I was going to go out on a limb and predict that Romney would get 47% of the vote.
I like being right. What can I say?
The republicans offered a vision of America and a set of policies and principles that were solidly rejected by the American people.
As Romney received a little over 47% of the vote, I would not consider that as "solidly rejected". In addition, a little more than 49% of the total voters did NOT vote for Obama so he certainly did NOT win by a landslide.

no, they DO worse! they turn shyte upside down and sideways and confuse the sheeple that already have not been either BOUGHT OFF with FG monies or guilted into supporting their Utopian ideals.
look at how these people post and explain their POV: they have put the FG ABOVE the Constitution; they only invoke the Constitution to CONSTRAIN the States and the People AS NEEDED. otherwise, they just IGNORE the Limitations imposed upon the FG.
when I was growing up here in Grant Co, we had a COUNTY Old Folks Home; NOT a State home or FG home! there were no such things as Nursing Homes or Senior Housing OR Low-Income Housing Projects/Apeartments... and, there were no masses of folks living IN THEIR CARS OR ON THE STREETS. crap like THAT happened AFTER 20 years of the War on Poverty!
to hear these subversives tell it, needy people were dying and starving and living homeless in the 1000's!! the pity is, the vast majority of folks alive and voting TODAY have no personal knowledge of PRE-welfare America. hell, given the shorter life expectancy of blacks and the explosion in black births, most likely 60+% of today's black pop has NO psersonal rememberance of the words and work of MLK! all they have is the version that idiots like Jackson and Rev Tawana spout. the same can be said about the Migrant Farmers' movement and immigration.
the things the leaders of civil rights and immigration, etc. say they want AND HAVE ALWAYS WANTED are, in reality, ONLY what TODAY's leadership wants. things like EUALITY have been perverted to FAIRNESS; an American Ideal to a Socialist/Marxist/Progressive ideal.
u can add the Melting Pot, OUR two-party pol'l system and MORAL guidance to the things that have also been perverted... for IDEOLOGICAL gain... NON-American Ideology, to boot!
the subversion has went beyond mere Presidential or Congressional elections. it HAS become endemic in OUR Body Politic. depending on an individual's resistence, sometime's all it takes it actually winning AND ahowing up in DC for a person to become INFECTED (AND, thus, subverted and PERVERTED). just look at waht the current so-called Rep'c House leadership is doing to some of its MOST conservative members!
idiots....
first off a county old folks home is still a gov't institution, on the county level dumbarse.

second back in the day you are talking about, the mythological 50's -60's the average life expectancy was much less than it is today. Retiring at 65, if you lived that long meant at most another 5 years

there were plenty of homeless throughout our history, plenty of slums tenements and ghettos. Try reading Upton Sinclair's The Urban Jungle to see what life was like in the early 1900's. or study the plight of Irish Immigrants around 1850, especially in New Orleans...or how many Irish and Chinese immigrants were cattle for the expansion of our RR network

The trouble with you idiots is that you have no idea of what life was like for millions of Americans, much less what life is like for the rest of the world--most of it is better in the industrialized nations...and much is unbelievably worse for others

tell me have you ever traveled outside the U.S., and not to a resort?

My contention is that:
1. There is no Constitutional prohibition about wearing the uniform while actively participating in partisan activity like "eat it" wrote;
2. There is no UCMJ prohibition about wearing the uniform while actively participating in partisan activity like "justagi" wrote;
3. Even if there were such Constitutional or UCMJ prohibitions they would not apply to Terry - a civilian.
Justagi claims to be a military trainer but doesn't know what he's talking about. There is such a prohibition in a separate document - they just don't know where to find it.

Alas! You finally found it. LOL!
As you can see the prohibition is not found in the Constitution or in the UCMJ - it's a 'Standing Order' that can be revoked by the President at any time.

Now that you finally found the DOD directive, tell me how that applies to a civilian like Terry?

You just don't get it, Ralff and are refusing to.

Topix allows a great many posters from both sides of this so-called debate, and on many other threads besides to get away with outrageously offensive, vulgar and vile comments without ever banning them. I can name some examples from these very threads.

The point is the number and intensity of reports they get from other posters, like you and whoever else reported REWBA, and I know you were not the only one. It was a group effort.

I know what I'm talking about from personal experience on these threads. I had someone and many report me repeatedly, and one even bragged about getting me banned on many occasions.

If your logic were true, YOU would have banned based on some posts you have made as would many others here. It's all about who a group decides to get rid of at the time, and how they are reported.

So, while it's true that the content of posts is a factor, the MAJOR factor is the number of reports Topix gets. They would rather get rid of all the annoying reports by banning the poster in question. You just enjoyed getting REWBA banned. It made you feel important. It's a control and power thing, and some people here think that reporting to Topix and getting someone banned is worthy of a medal and makes them a hero when all it is is snitching to Topix and nothing else.

There will never be peace and harmony until march in locked step with the Topix fascists. You're on your way...
I had missed Terry's post until I saw your reply to it.

Reminds me of the god damned republican primary when a bunch of right wing nuts booed an active duty soldier serving in a war zone just because they found out he was gay.

If he had stayed in the closet they would have called him hero, but he wasn't what they wanted him to be so they turned on him.

Same thing here. A man serves his country and just because these piss ants don't like his opinion they decide he shouldn't be seen in the uniform he earned the right to wear.

Terry has to make his own decision how to deal with this, but right about now there isn't a single one of these jerks that wants to try and tell me about their "patriotism".

I already know what I need to know.

When Republicans hijacked the president's slogan/hashtag "WeCantWait," they were pushing a slogan of their own: The Forgotten 15. It was a little like one of those press releases from some sad PR shop that suggests to reporters: "If you're writing about Transformers 3, you might be interested in an interview with one of our robotics experts!"
So what are the Forgotten 15? Here they are, on ***Eric Cantor's JobTracker page, which runs down everything the GOP has passed that relates in some way to jobs. Have you heard of the Clean Water Cooperative Federalism Act? Among other things, it "shortens the period in which the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service must submit comments with respect to a general dredge and fill permit application." There's the Coal Residuals Reuse and Management Act, which will "facilitate the recovery of coal ash by creating a state-based permit program." There's the Cement Sector Regulatory Relief Act, which deregulates that industry. I'm not even getting into the six bills that the GOP describes as necessary to "maximize domestic energy production," but that's basically it -

the filibuster on the other hand is where the minority gets to override the majority, not a democratic process
