Obama Sucks
Sadly, the Public Empl Unions own the Dem Party now so the pitiful American tax slaves will surely be stuck with the extravagant UNFUNDED pensions and UNFUNDED benefits previous "urban" Democrats traded for Campaign support in most every Blue State urban mess. As long as we only have Obama we will all suffer endless hardships in Service to HIM.

"Pay Up Suckers" is the new motto of what passes for a Democratic Party in the Obama Era.

A bailout would be a total waste of money and would be squandered quickly by incompetent city officials.

The system is already built in and concrete so no amount of bailout is going to fix the ills it only prolong the final outcome.

the administration has nothing to gain from bailing out Detroit...
if they did, it would've already been done.

Whether or not Congress bailed out General Motors and Chrysler has nothing to do with this. Those corporations sell cars and trucks and therefore can produce revenue and pay back money that they owe.The city cant do that. The city can only produce more debt.If they are bailed out thats what they will do.

Too many on welfare, and have no intentions of
every going to work. Moving in vacant houses and
trashing them, if you need proof go to Detroit and
look what has happened. Who will take the blame,
take a guess who the democrats will say, "and it
will solve nothing and those who can't do the job
they were elected to do talk about a dead teenager
that has already settled in court.
That's the way to ruin a country!!!!

I used to love Detroit. The city had one of the best jazz clubs in the country; Baker's Keyboard Lounge! Now it is a crime and drug ridden hellhole run by the most incompetent city government I have ever seen. It used to be a prosperous thriving city. Bailing out a city run by incompetents could set a dangerous precedent.

Maybe because I've never been a liberal.

But it's nice to know you blame the color of their skin for all their problems, rather than the stupidity and outright corruption of their collective decisions over the decades- by both white AND black elected officials.

Detroit is what you get when half the population (middle & upper class) leaves the city, and the remaining 95+% of the population lives in poverty.
