Born in Chicago (Lincoln & Peterson). Lived in Illinois for all my life except when I was in the military. Now retired in Peoria Az(Phoenix).

Even though it's really really hot in the summer (32 days over 110 this year), it's a lot better than having to live in subzero temperatures and showvel and drive in snow. Never want to see another snowflake again.

With my vocation I have lived in Alaska, Missouri, Nebraska and Idaho, as well as (West) Germany, after being raised in California. Many people like the city life (I was from just south of Los Angeles) and its amenities, and I wouldn't criticize anyone for wanting city life. Personally, after years of rural living, even with the inconveniences, I would prefer being out in the country, living in a small town and enjoying the much slower pace of life than is typical in the city. Everyone has their preference, whether city or rural. Mine is rural.

Born in Florida.....lived in two other states....love the country life....the sounds of the owls, whip-o-wills and being able to sneeze without someone next door saying. "God Bless You". Lightening bugs still exist. Still live in Florida....will die in Florida.

We live more than 6000 miles away from the Netherlands where we lived for more than 40 years.
We started a campground in Buffalo Texas and we LOVE it here.

From Johnstown PA, my folks moved to Mesa AZ in 1950 and I have been here all but 3 years in the USN and a 9 month visit to Beckley WV. I'm just a hillbilly/dessartrat.

I was born & raised in Kosciusko, Mississippi, a tiny little place. Couldn't wait to get as far away as possible, & left when I was 17. I've lived in 6 states, & countless large cities & small towns in those states. I've travelled all over the U.S., & Canada. I've been "trapped" just outside Atlanta, the rudest city I've ever lived in or visited, for over 8 years now. I have an almost unbearable desire to move back to that beautiful little town I was couldn't wait to leave. For the first time in 30 years, I'm homesick.
no the rudest people are in Brookfield Connecticut. so mean we had to live there eight years it was awful
