That post would've been MUCH better without the first sentence. Most blacks on this forum are too dumb to articulate what they feel. So, this YT has to do for them.
Intelligent and truly capable blacks like Powell or Rice are snubbed because they're perceived as being just a part of white man's power structure. So, they're, in the eyes of their racial "kin"- uncle Toms or something like that. It's not Dems vs GOP, just race and power.
Obama, on the other hand, is a charming and articulate man, but, essentially, not much more than a Chicago pol. What gave him aura in blacks' eyes is that he became President.
Whoa ! He gives orders ! He's not just a cog in white man's power machine !
Wrong. He's just a cog. US is ruled by elites that are located in banking, gas and oil and military complex structures. They're ethnically diverse, but more than 95% white and male (diversity means WASPs, Jews, Irish, Italian, Greek,....Americans).
Obama is is more than a puppet, but less than a "ruler"- ruler means Putin, Merkel,.... So- curb your enthusiasm. Presidents come and go, money stays and rules.
Nor do I have a problem with a racial, religious, or ethnic group identifying with and supporting those who have the same goals while condeming those who are perceived to act against the aims of the group. White Republicans condemn white Dems who support social programs perceived to help black Americans, so why complain about black Americans criticizing other blacks for supporting Republican opposition to those programs?
