GW did some stupid things (eg: invading Iraq).

He also made some strategic errors, like not getting the word out to voters about Dodd and Frank *before* the stuff hit the fan and the housing market collapsed. He tried to get Congress to act, but Dems were uninterested; he should have gone to the American people when that failed.

He should have listened to some at the FRB, who were concerned about unregulated derivatives (another banking fiasco).

The last election was a referendum on his bad moves and it showed. Republicans deserved what they got, but Obama was a shot in the foot.

This election is a referendum on the job Barack Obama pledged to do versus what he did to fix the problem. IMO, his policies (idiotic, difficult to parse new regulations), his rhetoric (bank bashing and casting blame) and his legislative priorities (Obamacare) exacerbated the problem. Rather than an 18-month recession, we were plunged into a 48-month near-depression that we have yet to emerge from.

It's high time we gave Barack Obama the boot; unless you like high unemployment, falling real estate values and a chief executive who still insists nothing is his fault.

The flubya legacy is too shameful for him to appear in such a public forum. (His negatives are still at 54%.) While they want no public association with him, they employ his former handlers, with glee, to control and direct the rugby crampaign. The cons haven't changed one iota.

"Nuremberg declared that aggressive war is the supreme international crime," the 87-year-old Ferencz told OneWorld from his home in New York. He said the United Nations charter, which was written after the carnage of World War II, contains a provision that no nation can use armed force without the permission of the UN Security Council.

Ferencz said that after Nuremberg the international community realized that every war results in violations by both sides, meaning the primary objective should be preventing any war from occurring in the first place.

He said the atrocities of the Iraq war--from the Abu Ghraib prison scandal and the massacre of dozens of civilians by U.S. forces in Haditha to the high number of civilian casualties caused by insurgent car bombs--were highly predictable at the start of the war.

Former Aide Says Dubya Can Go On Trial for War Crimes

Richard Clarke: we have established procedures now with the International Criminal Court in The Hague, where people who take actions as serving presidents or prime ministers of countries have been indicted and have been tried. So the precedent is there to do that sort of thing.

No problem here. The cons prance around wanting to follow the rule of law. Now is their chance.
