Me thinks Obama protesteth too much ... If Michelle is going to put herself out there making policy statements, which the article does not fully detail, then she becomes part of the political discourse, criticism and all. It Barak resents the criticism, then have Michelle stick to soft venues like "The View."

They are both grown ups and went into this with full knowledge of what happens when you put yourselves out there in politics. Whining makes Obama look even weaker than he already looks, in comparison with his strong wife. He should just suck it up, and so should Michelle.

I find Michelle Obama far more intereting and engaging (and believe she is probably more intelligent) than her eye-candy husband. However, the place of a candidate's spouse is in the background. She is not running for office.

Mrs. Obama is like most Black women. She is strong-very-Black women have to be. No matter what a Black women or man does in some eyes it is never considered good enough. The reason is the Black race has always been protrayed as the "inferior" group. It is absolutely false but, some have this image breed inside and nothing will change their attitude. I realize that this is but a handful compared to the scheme of things, so why is it that he is so popular ?..I for one can't stand the man. He is over-rated, will never perform, and has issues !
