Evidence elusive in Michigan right-to-work debate

Dec 10, 2012 Full story: The Republic 22

Gov. Rick Snyder says one reason he supports right-to-work legislation in Michigan is the economic boost a similar law has given Indiana, although officials have provided no conclusive evidence that the policy by itself has drawn new businesses to the state next door.

Yeah because having a job below the living wage is a great way to live right? Here in Pennsylvania I'm payed above the minimum wage in a state that has collective barging. Enjoy your tea baggers and having to work 3 jobs to live.

"You work three jobs?... Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." --George Bush--to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005

The writings on the wall, that's what teabaggers are striving for.

Killing the middle class.

Unions have done their best to destroy middle class America by demanding excessive pay for mundane repetitive work. This makes things cost more for all of us just so they can be greedy. Thankfully places like Walmart have come along providing the middle classes a way to increase their standard of living via lower prices and better quality products compared to that union made junk.

The unions are the reason there was a middle class in the first.

There is one rule for the industrialist and that is: Make the best quality of goods possible at the lowest cost possible, paying the highest wages possible.

It is not the employer who pays the wages. Employers only handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages.

A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.

An idealist is a person who helps other people to be prosperous.

“We try to pay a man what he is worth and we are not inclined to keep a man who is not worth more than the minimum wage.”

"One's own employees ought to be one's own best customers," Mr. Ford said years later. "Paying high wages," he concluded, "is behind the prosperity of this country."

There was always a middle class. It sat right in the middle between the upperr class and the lower class. The only difference was who was in it. Unions propelled low skilled uneducated morons into the middle penalizing the educated and skilled as they were forced to pay more for products that were made by the unskilled dodos.
Things are changing and the middle will once again hold the educated and the skilled. The unionists can be deported to China where they can find the job that they ran away

I bought two vehicles in 2011. One was a Lexus 350 for the wife and a GMC work truck for myself
The Lexus, made in Japn and untouched by UAW hands has ot ben in the shop expect for oil changes. Not one warranty issue has arised
Now the Truck. The armret fell off on the way home from thedealership and has had assorted problems including the armrest falling off again. Typical UAW GM low quality junk.
Unions destroy every thing they touch and after the big taxpayer bailout...GM's UAWers continue the fine tradition of building junk
By the way...theLexus and the truck were similarly priced. I know which one I got my moneys worth out of

If unions would simply look after the employees there wouldn't be much issue with them.

"The work rules imposed in union contracts required the company that makes Twinkies, which also makes Wonder Bread, to deliver these two products to stores in separate trucks. Moreover, truck drivers were not allowed to load either of these products into their trucks. And the people who did load Twinkies into trucks were not allowed to load Wonder Bread, and vice versa."

But they don't and here ^^^ is just one problem with them.

Were you a born liar or was that a skill you aquired from your upbringing? What you know about Wal~Mart wouldn't fill a thimble. I worked for Wal~Mart for several years and it was a living, paid the bill. Benefits weren't too bad and the profit sharing was decent. I left with a nice chunk of change. One thing I REALLY enjoyed tho was that EVERY time some azzwipe co-worker got bit by the union bug I managed to make SURE they were terminated for cause. And the termination stuck because the slugs wanted UNION job security without being productive. Wanna sit in the breakroom and slurp down coffee on the clock rather than do what you're paid to do? Maybe slip off for some goof off time on the clock in the warehouse? Shoot the breeze with your Buds instead of pushing frieght? Like to party every Friday night instead of working your schedule? You're paid to perform a job. Unions protect deadwood in a business. And the deadwood knows it.

Liberalism/Progressivism: Characterized medically as a mental disorder. Causes are suspected to be Genetic. Studies suggest that the gene that triggers maturity doesn't develop properly retarding or stunting ability to discern reality from fantasy. Symptoms include adolescent denial of factual circumstance, lying and fits of pique when confronted with the truth. Other symptoms include a childish desire coveting others' belongings as well as delusional ideas of superiority over others.

Let me start with your first question. Was I born a liar? I was born into a republican family (back when republicans were respected)the way they are now if I had voted republican you could call me a liar, but I for one along with many knew that democrat was the right way to vote.We have no republicans we now have TEABAGGERS.As far as walmart how long has it been since you worked there.because you can't count on one hand the things that are American made!!!!and they start employees at 8.00 per hour they work 12hr no over time.RTW State Unions protect the employees and yes the even pretect the SCABS that do not belong.Republicans are trying to shut down the unions but it will never work it will only make them stronger. All people have a right to work but the ones that want to pay union dues have that right too.The Koch Brothers,Carl Rove,Sheldon Addelson, have paid Rick snyder a pretty penny to sell out.....

I've brought this up in a different thread. Union members complain about the jobs going to china. I recall their union king standing next to Clinton smiling and stating how awesome nafta was going to be for the union workforce.( he probably cleaned what monica had missed as well). Like good little sheep you did not even so much as murmur as your own leadership in conjunction with the demoroids sold you up the river. To this day, you worship both and claim it was a republican cabal.
