why would you want to expose your children to an evil woman who allows her husband to publicly cheat and lie to the country?
Since when does a woman or a man LET their spouse do anything? I dont do things because I'm allowed to by my husband, I things because I choose to and because the laws of the land allow me to. My husband is free to do what he wants. If he chose to cheat on me, then I would deal with that the best I could. If I chose to stay with him, that would be MY business. If I chose to leave him, that would be MY business too. She chose to stay with him and work it out while maintaining a life in the public eye. I commend her for her strength. I think she is a great role model for women. She chose to do what she felt was best for herself, her marriage and her child. Who are you to criticize her for that? I've never seen you complaining about Bush's cocaine use or DUIs. What kind of role model is he? Did you vote for him BOTH times?

That New Time Religion
John McCain grew up Episcopalian. He went to an Episcopalian high school. For at least 15 years, he has been listed as an Episcopalian in authoritative directories such as the Almanac of American Politics and Congressional Quarterly's Politics in America 2008. He told a reporter from McClatchy News Service in June 2007 that he was an Episcopalian.
Suddenly, in September 2007, he's campaigning in South Carolina, the heavily Baptist state where George W. Bush barely managed to stop McCain's presidential campaign 8 years ago. And guess what? McCain tells a reporter "By the way, I'm not Episcopalian. I'm Baptist."

When pressed, he said he's attended the North Phoenix Baptist Church in Arizona for more than 15 years, though he has never been baptized in that church. Now see, that's exactly the problem. Baptism is kind of a big thing in the Baptist Church.(That's how they got the name.) No baptism, not Baptist.

Anyway, details aside, this is one very clear indication of how McCain has changed. Now, he's just another hungry politician, happy to pander if it helps him win. Which eliminates the very reason people were excited about him in 2000 -- his honesty.

Founding Member of the Keating Five
Back in the old days, defendants in famous trials got numbers -- the Chicago Eight, the Gang of Four, the Dave Clark Five, the Daytona 500. McCain was one of the "Keating Five," congressmen investigated on ethics charges for strenuously helping convicted racketeer Charles Keating after he gave them large campaign contributions and vacation trips.
Charles Keating was convicted of racketeering and fraud in both state and federal court after his Lincoln Savings & Loan collapsed, costing the taxpayers $3.4 billion. His convictions were overturned on technicalities; for example, the federal conviction was overturned because jurors had heard about his state conviction, and his state charges because Judge Lance Ito (yes, that judge) screwed up jury instructions. Neither court cleared him, and he faces new trials in both courts.)

Though he was not convicted of anything, McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating after Keating gave McCain at least $112,00 in contributions. In the mid-1980s, McCain made at least 9 trips on Keating's airplanes, and 3 of those were to Keating's luxurious retreat in the Bahamas. McCain's wife and father-in-law also were the largest investors (at $350,000) in a Keating shopping center; the Phoenix New Times called it a "sweetheart deal."

Mafia ties:
In 1995, McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph "Joe Bananas" Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona. Another politician to send regrets was Governor Fife Symington, who has since been kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felonies relating to fraud and extortion.

Family Problems
McCain has a reputation as a politician who has difficulty keeping his pants zipped, according to Republican sources. He acknowledges that his adultery broke up his first marriage. His second wife Cindy, the daughter of a wealthy Budweiser beer distributor, was addicted to prescription narcotics and even stole hard drugs from a medical charity that she ran. McCain acknowledges that she didn't want him to run, and only agreed once he promised that she doesn't have to go to New Hampshire or Iowa.

Quotes:
- Leonardo DiCaprio is "an androgynous wimp." -- McCain.

- "The thought of [McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me." -- Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi, who has known McCain for 35 years.

It's hard to take this campaigning seriously when the people that are actually running this country will still be running it long after the votes are counted. It's time for a change and I don't mean from a D to an R or vice versa.

One more thing- I am a Democrat and I am PROUD to be one. I wasnt always a Democrat though. When I was in my early 20s, I was a staunch Republican. I believed very deeply in the Rep. Party and many of their tenets. As I became educated, I understood more of my world. I learned about real compassion for my fellow man. I learned about giving of myself (not my money- but my time) to others in need. I realized that I was changing as I matured and my beliefs moved from ultra-conservative to moderate ( some conservative beliefs and some liberal ones). I dont consider myself a liberal. I dont consider myself a conservative. I'm someplace in the middle with a left lean. :) Anyway, I'm not only going to see Hillary. If McCain and Obama are going to show up, I'll see them as well. I want to know what they are saying without the media spin. I want to hear it for myself because I want to be as informed as possible when I push that button in November. Anyone who faults me...its fine. I dont care what you think. I dont have to live with you and look at you in the mirror every day. I have to look at myself and like and feel good about what I see. And I do.

Well, if I learned nothing else on this thread I learned you are passionate about your right and freedom to vote. Perhaps if more people exercised that right we may have a better go of it locally and nationally.

I respect your right to vote for whomever you deem fit. And I will do the same. At this time I am still undecided and will remain undecided until the Democrats decide and put forward their single candidate.

FYI. I think you have created a new record this evening. In one hour you posted:

* 1690 words
* 9765 sharacters (with spaces)
* 37 paragraphs

or so says my MS Word's "word count" feature.

Now that's passion!

While Obama has a pleasant approachable personality, it is Clinton's strength, experience and planned action that gets my vote. Hopefully Obama will be asked and accept the position of vice-president.
EXPERIENCE????? Are you nuts?

LMAO! Thanks for that.:) I think you're right about people needing to be passionate about politics and voting. We all have a voice. I think its just silly when I read comments from people who say they are boycotting the election. I figure my vote gives me a voice as well as my right to complain about the status quo.:)

Well, at least we can count on some brilliant political discourse from the guys over at RedState.

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

I would actually would vote for Jackie for President before any of the three current "front-runners."

We need a change in this country and neither party is taking care of those who actually work.

Let's face it...Hillary's "win" in PA amounted to about 15 delegates. Big whoop! Obama will win NC and Indiana, then Hillary should call it quits. If this comes down to superdelegates and the Clinton machine robs the nomination despite Obama being up in popular votes, delegates and all categories, I hope Black America rises up to the point it makes terrorism look like making mudpies on the banks of the French Broad - and I'm white! If Hillary steals this, you will wake up on a Wednesday morning in November with a crazed, mentally-unstable POW with a massive temper, one step away from the nuclear button as your President (McInsane). Good luck America, good luck.

If you believe she is strong because she stuck with Bill during his many liasons, she did it to get to this point only..no more, no less..Experience?...I assume you want to elect another typical corrupt panderer to the special interests who has lied about her foreign policy experience, lied about her experience in Bosnia, has been investigated from everything from Whitewater to Vince Foster and had to move to NY to take advantage of just getting into the Senate....Planned acction?..do you trust someone who already has a failed health care initiative and who can't manage her own campaign fiscally to be your next president?.....lets not forget her fake Southern drawl when speaking at the Negro churh in Alabama......
It's time for some new blood in the White House, one with passion and hope...not the same corrupt politics we have had for the last several decades. A vote for Hillary is a vote for disaster. Please educate yourself a bit more before going to the voting booth.
I couldn't have said it better myself, However you did leave out that her first pandering will be to the health insurance companies by mandating insurance and fining those who can't afford it.

Yes People who earn 80K need medicaid assistance, Yea that's right give charity to those who do not need it and fine those who can't afford it,That's not the kind of screwed up thinking I want running this country
