That is a bunch of bull Greg and you know it. The academy is a joke and is for "privledged" kids only. The regular public schools are a mess and no one cares about it. All the resources are put into the academy. The "concerned citizen" is right on and I would encourage anyone who has children in school to protest and expect equality for their children.

Greg I guess has no clue at all of the Academy.
As Linny said it's for the who's who of the town.
The rest of the school system, especially the High School is a total joke. The student's are teached half assed and the classes are only geared towards the CMT's. And they still produce low scores.
I remember when they new high school was first opened, it was for show, impressive to look at but come class time, no books. a 38 million dollar facility with computer's no one knew how to use and books from a dump in California.
The Board claims they have no money, but they're spending over a million dollars a year on maintaining the athletic fields.

I will bet you that Greg has children at the academy. Thanks George. I think I will make a little visit to the Mayor's office and bring this to her attention and encourage all public school parents to do the same - after all, they do pay for that school through their taxes.

Oh Aprils aware of it, April always has an open ear though. The more input you give her the better equipped she is to address it.
A lot of the academy parents want to have private school priviledges at and treatment at the rest of our's expense. FYI St Raphaels wants to utilize part of the old highschool as a clinic for uninsured mothers and children, they would do the repairs and use a building deteroiating from lack of use. The opposition however comes from the academy parents, because they don't want "Those kinds of people" around their children. Keep in mind, this is a town owned building and it would address the need's of the growing list of kids uninsured in our town. I guess its part of the "we're better then you lesson going on there".

George- would love to speak to you more about it - this is such an interesting topic to me.
People are getting raked and doing nothing about it. Its the kids that are being targeted here.
