Lots of men voicing their opinion on what a woman does with her body. The GOP contiues to wage their war against women. I'd rather hear what Palin and Bachmann have to say on the topic instead of Perry and Cruz quite frankly. And I'm neither a fan nor do I agree with Palin and Bachmann's views!

Your right, a women should have the right to do what they want with their body and some of these anti abortion laws can be oppressive BUT lets be real. But the MINORITY of abortions are about medical urgency. Let's call abortion what it really is in the majority of cases-birth control or a mercy killing of child the mother doesn't want(and as the Gosnell trial pointed they aren't even merciful all the time). Just call it for what it really is.

I don't disagree nor agree. But the fight should be with the women to arrive at the conclusion. Not Perry and Cruz.

Perry and Cruz should be arguing how to make men more accountable for impregnating women if they want to prevent abortions. Fine them for life to pay for the costs of raising the child. Jail them for abandoning the child. But it's ludicrous that men are arguing what women should be doing with their bodies. Men kill millions of half babies a day. But you don't hear women arguing to pass laws preventing male masturbation do you?

why are republicans so obsessed with abortion?
there are plenty of more urgent issues that haven't been resolved, this one was taken care of back in 1973.

I think Republicans are looking for a way to counsel women to use other kinds of birth control so they won't have to make that heart wrenching decision to kill their unborn child. See, if you don't kill it, it doesn't become a watermelon. It is a baby. And even if men don't know that sober women do, and they should have some alternative.

A Republican against the filibuster?

LOL!!!

They've used over 300 silent filibusters in the U.S.
Senate.

Let Cruz talk to McConnell about that.

Well, sure. Gohmert from Texas is counseling women to carry
their dead fetuses for the full term.

Men shouldn't be getting women pregnant and running. Fine them. Or make them give every penny they work to the woman to support the child until he/she reaches adulthood. That's the counseling men need.

What a load of bullshit typical gary liberal rant. The truth is that they are trying to make the abortion clinics safer...no more butcher shops.

The Texas Bill will Make Abortion Safer: After the horrors discovered at the clinic of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell (which the media all-but ignored), many of which were only possible due to the local government's politically motivated lack of oversight towards abortion clinics, Texas decided to act to make abortion safer. One of the primary objectives of the bill Davis filibustered is to ensure that women who seek a legal abortion are properly cared for.

Late-term Abortion Ban Is More Popular with Women than ObamaCare

Wendy Davis is a opotunist power monger not rare amognst the left.

BTB....she stiffed the taxpayers... State Senator Wendy Davis is under contract to be paid $400/hour in taxpayer dollars by the North Texas Tollway Authority to perform "legal services" on behalf of her client. The Public Integrity Unit, which prosecutes crimes related to state government, has been requested to investigate Wendy Davis for possible criminal activity.

This power publicity broker is going to get a lesson on Monday.

The real 'culture of death' can be laid at the feet of the busheviks and their unnecessary wars that have killed hundreds of thousands. Unfortunately those policies have been continued by the obama administration. On one hand rethugs say they are for smaller government but yet they want to interfere in women's health care decisions. With all of the efficient methods of contraception available abortions should be rare.

OH YES!!! Now I see the light!!

The Rapepublican conservatives and their anti choice cronies are simply concerned about the health and welfare of women/girls !!!! How could I be so foolish to think their were trying to outlaw abortion AND contraceptives and eliminate all choice for females ???

OF COURSE THEY know what is best for a woman/girl as she is incapable of any decision concerning her reproductive life. Women have always been a little dense in this area and need men....especially religious MEN to guide their way. How foolish of us women to even think we know our bodies, and our best interests without the help of the MALE god of religious fanatics. AND who better qualified than a man with half a brain such as Rick Perry to clear this all up for us delicate little women.

Yes Rick Perry is the equivalent to a rocket scientist by Texas standards, a genius, an Einstein.

Now they threaten to investigate Wendy Davis......Maybe Ricky Perry will get a call from the IRS?? Tic for tac.

Abortion reform laws will start in the states. After Gosnell, enough people know what those abortion people, like Eric Holder's wife could care less about the mothers. It is about the money. If the babies are born, then murdered, oh well. They still get paid. Shame on Republicans for wanting cleaner, more appropriate surroundings for the procedure. Shame on Republicans for wanting the procedure done in a hospital with a real doctor. They treat these women like throwaways, disposables, because they have no respect for the poor women who resort to baby killing. Those are black voters they are disposing of. Oh, that's right. They don't need the blacks any more. They have the poor brown people to vote for them.

You can't be this stupid. Well, guess what? PA already HAD laws regarding safety, as well as who/when/where late term abortions could be performed. Gosnell simply IGNORED the laws, and the state of PA IGNORED reports of his violations.

So, instead of enforcing the laws already in existence, they're passing new laws that will only serve to hamper doctors in clinics that are already following the existing laws. They will do NOTHING about the ones that don't follow the laws in the first place, or the state officials who didn't do THEIR jobs properly.

It's not about safety for women, it's about making it as hard as possible for them to exercise their right to a legal medical procedure, by regulating even the good clinics out of existence, and penalizing the doctors who perform abortions.

Do you really think the Gosnell clinic is the only abortion kennel in the country? No, there are thousands of the. I don't believe in abortion, but if we are going to have them we need them done in a clean area by a real Doctor. Oh that's right, a real doctor won't kill a human being. It is that Oath thing they take to do no harm..

Because it is MURDER OF A CHILD. There are a lot of adults that want to adopt a child and these babies could have a good life with a couple that wants children. The question should be why are the females too selfish to adopt out a child instead of murdering it. Why are the Dems so hell bent on allowing women to have abortions in places that are not as sterile as the hospitals nor equipped at well? Sounds like the Dems hate women and really do not get a crap if they make it or not.

You've missed the point. The laws are already in place to have abortions done in clean facilities with real doctors. Gosnell WAS a real doctor, you do understand that, right? All the laws that were needful were already in place, he just IGNORED THEM. He's a criminal. And THEN, the state failed to ALSO obey the laws and shut him down.

Do I think it's the only one? No, but again, that's not the point. MORE laws aren't going to stop the criminals. You do understand that TOO, right? The ONLY clinics the additional laws will affect are the ones that are NOT run by criminals, but cleanly by doctors who do their jobs.

And the ONLY reason to do THAT is to make it difficult for women to obtain a safe legal abortion, because the people proposing those laws don't like abortions. That's it, it's not about safety, because purposely shutting down the safe clinics will mean MORE women go to criminals like Gosnell.

No real doctor, and no accredited hospital will accept women looking for an Abortion. Gosnell couldn't practice in a real Hospital. They have uncovered a couple more of those clinics run by crazy people. In all the findings they were there to make money, to hell with helping the women. Not one time have I heard a Democrat say anything about regulating these killing houses. Oh, you didn't know? Some of the pregnant women dies too. With Democrats it is about thinning out the black community, and making money while they do it. And the poor dumb black people have no clue.

This statement is untrue.

"Gosnell couldn't practice in a real Hospital."

He was, in fact, a licensed doctor, like it or not.

"They have uncovered a couple more of those clinics run by crazy people. In all the findings they were there to make money, to hell with helping the women."

Yes, and they are CRIMINALS. What part of this do you NOT understand? They were not following the laws that are already in place to make women safer. Criminals don't care about safety, only in making lots of money. And it has nothing to do with the doctors who ARE following the law, and being as safe as medically possible.

"Not one time have I heard a Democrat say anything about regulating these killing houses. Oh, you didn't know? Some of the pregnant women dies too. With Democrats it is about thinning out the black community, and making money while they do it. And the poor dumb black people have no clue."

Your racism has nothing to do with my point.
