And di you know that mexicans down there have been refusing to fill up american cars now? The thanks we get for being their felon filter.Did you know that folks in San Diega CA are crossing the Mexican border and buying gas at $2.54 per gallon --- because the gov. there reduces and subsidizes it for their People. My friend from Honduras says he's paying around $2 a gallon. Hmm!

$7.50 gal by X.Mas

I have a friend who works in the oil industry and he says that without a doubt, gas will be $7-$8 a gallon by this time next year and close to $10 a gallon by 2010. He says anyone who purchases a new car now and finances it for more than a year or two is taking a huge gamble since that car may be worth virtually nothing in a couple of years if gas prices hit $10 a gallon.
Are you saying cars are worth nothing in Europe now? Maybe we should go there and buy cars. |
Gas in europe is up to 9.50 a gallon. they have been paying more for a long time due to thier tax structure. tax is per liter vrs per gallon. 3.8 liters per gallon. do the math. |
We are a different creature than Europe, plus we are talking about prices on the increase over a couple of year timeframe without any reduction. People seem to think that this is just another anomoly in gas prices like the 70s. Truth is gas prices are on the rise and will most likely never go down again. For the amount of miles Americans commute and travel in cars compared to Europeans, plus add a couple of years when the population will finally come to the realization that prices will not go down again, people will be abandoning their cars left and right. Truth is, the cost to own, operate, insure, and maintain a fuel burning vehicle in five years or so will simply become too much for anyone to justify. |

The democrats are the ones who refuse to lift the ban on offshore drilling, either democrats lift the ban or we are going to ban democrats from being elected in November

I saw a recent study that most americans drive less than 28 miles a day. With a somewhat fuel efficent car they are only using 1 to 1 1/2 gallons a day with no changes. But I still see many many people alone driving a 8 passenger SUV. |

Offshore drilling has little promise of making a DENT in oil and gas prices, let a lone the YEARS it would take before we'd actually GET the oil. Why aren't the oil companies drilling in the 68-million acres they already have drilling rights to? |

The cost of each American life, according to a report in the Amrican Press (AP), is only $6.9 million dollars.
Basically America's fossil fuel supply has already peaked and is on the decline. The reason they can not lower their prices, which if they could and did, American's would buy all gas from those companies and in turn the spent monies would stay in america and the "extra" cash would also profit the american people, but they can't b/c they do not get the oil from american land. Those companies are in teh same boat as the civilians. |

It's not just a fact that the gas is priced high, we do sooo much commuting and travelling that we waste more. But we don't see it as waste b/c we feel it's a priority to drive and hour and a half to work.
Answer me this...if you could work right at home, did not have to travel or buy gas, would you take a pay cut. I would. |

It seems like the word "WE" has been misconstrued by you. Maybe you should use the word "I". |
