It's been the Republicans for some that that create laws that are an assault on American freedoms and pursuit of happiness thus the Republicans are the defenders of Totalitarianism and subjugation of the U.S Constitution.
Republicans are hell bent on removing citizens from beneath the umbrella of Citizens Rights, not the democrats. Here lately the Republican initiative of drug testing citizens who seek aid has been ruled a violation of the 4 Amendment of the U.S Constitution, how can a politician forget about citizens rights and protections against unwarranted search and seizure? Unless he just
didn't care to believe those protections were extended to all citizens equally.
You sit there an argue on what you THINK the republicans are doing when you have a democrat president running rough shot over the Constitution! Fast and Furious, Obama care, NSA,AP, IRS, Benghazi just to name a few and you STILL ACCUSE republicans of violating rights! What f*cking planet have you been on for the last 5 years?

Believe it or not, this time, I almost sort of agree with you! It was Republicans who enacted prohibition. But speaking of denying rights, democrats really excel at that. All for our own good of course! Going back to the unforgetable Wilson regime it was W.W.s choice to enact the income tax which there is questionable ratification of. This caused the building of one of the most freedom robbing agencies ever known, The IRS. Next, W.W. Gave the american people another gift, The Federal Reserve. This robs the citizen of his financial freedoms and power through inflation. About fifty years ago I could buy a silver dollar at the bank for one paper dollar and a gold $20 gold piece for roughly $35. We've come a long way baby! The Constitution defines a dollar as one ounce of silver or one twentieth of an ounce of gold. Look it up! W.W. then got us into a foreign war (That he promised he wouldn't) and in 1918 enacted the Espionage and Sedition Act. Under this act, thousands were sent to prison for speaking out against our involvement in the war. How unconstitutional is that? It was repealed in 1921. That brings us to FDR.(The socialist elitist) He tried to pack the SCOTUS because it ruled against him. The next pretender was LBJ with his "War on Poverty" Totally unconstitutional! and his Gun Control act of 1966,. Again Totally unconstitutional! Next is Clinton (The whore monger) with his NAFTA and many other "acts" and laws and taxes. Now this monkey with his "Czars" and his totally unconstitutional Obamacare, and his dictatorial "executive orders" Nahh only republicans violate the Constitution!

No State has the authority to deny all Citizens of America equal access and protection of the Constitutional guarantees.
Republicans are notorious in enacting laws around America that violate Citizen Constitutional protections. Of note recently was the drug testing of citizens who made application for financial help from welfare.
Never mind that violated Amendment 4 of the Constitution : The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized
This is just one of the Republican assaults on the Constitutional protections every citizen is guaranteed in America. Florida and Michigan just as recent as this week had their unconstitutional drug testing laws thrown out by the Federal Courts.
Denying gays the right to pursuit their happiness through recognized marriages is just another in a long line of Republican attempts over the years and throughout History to Subjugate the U.S Constitution.
I don't think you understand the debate, and it's obvious you haven't a thorough understanding of the Freedoms and Liberty extended to American Citizens by way of the US Constitution.

Question: if drug tests for welfare queens are a violation of the US Constitution, why is it the federal government makes me take drug tests to work for a living and that's not a violation of the Constitution?
You see, transportation is under strict federal regulation. My employer could care less if I smoke pot every night, just as long as I can work the next day. My employer doesn't want to have these drug tests for his employees, but it's federally mandated that he has these drug tests (just like any other trucking company) to conduct his business.
My employer doesn't want to go through the expense. He has to pay for the service that pulls our name randomly. He has to pay for the tests the clinic provides. He has to pay us for the time we spend at the clinic which is sometimes hours since a good amount of urine is required for a sample and he is not allowed (by federal law) to give us any advanced notice.
In the past, a few of our drivers failed the drug screening. The federal government pulls their medical card which in short means they can't work for six weeks. In that time, the employee has to go through abuse courses that he or she has to pay for on top of their interruption of income.
But for lowlife welfare people, now that's a violation of their Constitutional rights. Give me and my employer a break.
Fact - 2.6% of those who accepted welfare and went through drug screening were found positive. I've supplied the link - do you need this again?

Fact - Rick Scott transferred ownership of his 63 million dollar investment to his wife - the very company in Florida that performed those tests. Even though the clients are reimbursed from the state for the cost, the company retains its money as "provided services" to the state - thereby costing much more to the taxpayers of Florida. I supplied this information as well - do you need it again?

It was a political sham to enrich himself (Scott) under the guise of "getting all them illegal drug addicted welfare addicts".

Now he looks like the azzhole he always was - and you for some unknown reason still stand by this ludicrous law? It's been proven to be a failure!

How much more proof do you people need?

Actually, Prohibition was fueled by American Standard Oil my friend. You may find this very interesting;

"Rockefeller, gasoline and Prohibition.
Prior to Prohibition, passed as the 18th Amendment in 1919, most American cars used alcohol as fuel. Henry Ford’s Model T actually came in two versions, one being a version that allowed drivers to switch their carburetor so people could use farm-made alcohols as an alternate fuel. This was because 90% of America were farms at that point, so alcohol was a much more plentiful fuel source. Petroleum had not yet become an ubiquitous standard across America; there were not gas stations dotting every single community in the land. With alcohol engines, drivers could stop at any farm and fuel up, essentially anywhere.

At the turn of the 20th century, Standard Oil, owned by magnate John Rockefeller Jr., had consolidated a monopoly within the oil industry by effectively shutting down or buying out all other competitors. Unsurprisingly, Standard Oil was unhappy about the availability of alcohol as a fuel as it limited consumer demand for their oil products. A lifelong teetotaler, Rockefeller had been an avid fan of temperance for a long time and found the support of temperance by statute to be a solution that fulfilled both his moral and economical goals

In order to crush alcohol-makers out of existence, Rockefeller donated $350,323.67 to the Anti-Saloon League (worth $5 million in 2010 dollars) in the two decades before the passing of Prohibition. The ASL, along with Rockefeller’s public moral support and private backroom dealing with legislators, was enormously effective in influencing the public and Congress to pass the deal.

During these same years, a journalist/crusader named Ida Tarbell was waging a war against Rockefeller’s Standard Oil Trust, revealing it to be a monopoly in the worst way, with bribery, price-fixing and corrupt tactics as the tricks of the trade that Standard Oil used to crush or buy out all their competitors. The documents that Tarbell was able to publish were successful in destroying the monopoly by 1911, meanwhile revealing Rockefeller to be hardly a political progressive – the wanton abuse of employee rights and consumer fairness plus multiple instances of illegal coercion were testaments to a personal character miles from that of a Boy Scout."

You forgot fact 3. And that is those who had to take drug screenings for social programs did so with advanced warning; enough time to clean themselves up. I don't get that consideration. I have X amount of time to make it from my place of work to the clinic. if I cannot provide a sample, I am given cups of water until I can, and it is noted on my file. If I fail to enter the clinic in 20 minutes time, it's considered a failure to cooperate.
Valid. But, pot stays in your blood stream for well over 30 days - hair follicle tests can show residues for up to one year. Also, the common "Flushes" many people try to take to clean themselves out show up immediately when being tested as well. How do I know this?

I actually instituted drug screenings at a company I was Operational Manager at in 1993. Since machining and heavy presses were used, safety was a priority for me and those who worked for me. Also, insurance rates as a whole for the company dropped when this policy was enacted. I actually failed it the first time I took it!! I was schoked - until I had discussed what I had ate that morning, and did not realize poppy seed rolls would turn up positive for opium! Go figure!

I implemented it for two reasons - safety, and reduced insurance rates at the company I ran. If one does not wish to be drug tested, find other employment where you don't feel infringed upon. You as a CDL holder can be checked randomly, and a scientific method has to be applied. Otherwise, only if you are suspected of being under the influence would you be subjected to this;

Yes, it was interesting. I rechecked the dates and it seems there were a lot of model-Ts around by 1920. So, there was a sizable market for alcohol in cars before prohibition. That was Rockefeller's style. He was more of a capitalist than a free marketer.

Cheap gas, a byproduct of refining kerosene, killed the electric car. So, he did effectively kill the electric car also.

The SCOUTS is and has rescinded and struck down numerous pieces of Republicans legislation enacted by Republican legislators throughout the Nation and by Republicans in Congress some as recently as New Year's Eve for violating citizens Constitutional Rights.

It is not ACCUSING if it is FACT

You are a little behind with current events. Every Republican signature piece of legislation at the State and Local level as well as in Congress as been overturned by the Supreme Court, from the Defense of Marriage Act, to Drug testing aid applicants in Michigan and Florida, to the Arizona "Papers Please" Laws, each has been ruled by the courts as violating the US Constitutional Guarantees afforded to American Citizens.

Once is a coincidence, twice is willful ignorance, any continuous attempt signifies the republicans as a threat to subjugate citizens rights and constitutes a war on the U.S Constitution.

Let's see, GM was on the verge of going bankrupt, yet they had hidden plans for an electric car that could have saved them, yet they kept them hidden and unused, apparently they're still keeping them hidden, doesn't make sense to me.

Maybe Bush made them, or the Koch Bros. or the Tri lateral Commission.
