Tough reviews for Jim Lehrer as debate moderator

Oct 4, 2012 | Posted by: Mr_Bill | Full story: www.sfgate.com

Jim Lehrer may be regretting his decision to come out of semi-retirement and moderate his 12th presidential debate.

The veteran PBS anchor drew caustic social media reviews for his performance on Wednesday, with critics saying he failed to keep control of the campaign's first direct exchange between President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. The candidates talked over Lehrer's attempts to keep them to time limitations, and his open-ended questions frequently lacked sharpness.

Looser? I usually hate the typo police but i have found from years of experience that that mistake of spelling, not typing signifies a very low intelligence. it has rarley proved wrong. the substance of your posts backs that up.

if you could ever post a comment using your own words and thoughts, instead of some repeated, parroted mediea sound byte, i might be able to make another judgment, but all the facts point to you being a mindless puppet for others...

<quoted text>Well, one thing's for sure. The American's and America, is standing on the edge of a cliff, an abyss, if you will. The American people can either grab it by the back of the shirt collar, or let her go down the dark rocky slope. I mean, this is the last chance for the American people to WAKE UP!. The GOP will continually try to take more and more jobs out of this country, lower more and more wages, raise the price of everything else three times what it use to be. They want to kill Social Security, pensions, healthcare. People will have the freedom to make 11.99 an hour, and whatever is left for you to live on, that's your future.
Sure. You're exactly right because in order for the Repubs to make no cuts to our $1 TRILLION per year military spending and in order for them to spend even more on the military empire, they would HAVE to end SS and Medicare, because the three big federal spending items are Medicare/Medicaid, then SS, and then military spending. So we can basically have either SS and Medicare or spend $1 TRILLION per year on being a military empire.

Look at the crapola the Repubs have been selling all this time about we should bomb Iran. Yeah right. Again, Ron Paul was correct when he said not to get into another war. Now it was on the news that Iran has 70 percent inflation per month, it is on the brink of a revolution, it has Saudi Arabia and Turkey wanting it gone, now Turkey is getting into it with Syria, Turkey is in NATO, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are one sect of Muslims and Iran is another so they want Iran gone. The Republicans don't tell the truth that these countries are all in a lot of economic and political and even religious turmoil. And this is what Ron Paul said. The Repubs make it sound like Iran is strong and a big huge threat to us. It's all crap. Imagine a country with 70 percent per month inflation in a proxy war with Syria against Turkey and Saudi Arabia magically making a nuke and lobbing it over here to North America. Whoo!! Big scary threat. This is all so that the Repubs can have a never ending war on terror and keep war profiteering forever.

YOU never say one thing, you have a super low IQ, you don't know one thing, and you do not have one thing to say ever. You low IQ men want to come in here and ONLY make personal attacks on me because you just cannot stand to see smart women. You just cannot stand it. And, since none of you ever reads one book, you just repeat Fox TV, you make it up I am you, that I am the low IQ moron repeating the TV. This is like casting pearls on swine. I am soooooo too good for low, low men like this who can only post abuse in here to women over feeling soooooo threatened at seeing a smart woman. You are dead garbage, brain dead, violent, scared, fearful, mean, useless dead garbage, and, if the U.S. has to waste one cent paying stupid, fat, ugly, dumbed down, fearful, mean, woman hating garbage like this one cent in SS or in Medicare, they are complete and total idiots. The last thing this nation needs is dumb old men, and the last thing this country needs is to pay you freaks health care and money to keep you alive. You dumb scared old men make the case for ending SS and Medicare NOW.

You old losers need to get the hell out of the way and let the young educated people run the show and let smart people run the show. All you tea party males have is to abuse smart women. You are low life garbage that should not exist, and you know that, so you try instead to make smart females not exist. You're people are full of crap, you're low life garbage. If I ever had to resort to bashing smart people because I feared them, I would give up. That is hardly being a human. Like the philosophers said, like the Romans also said, a complete human is one who strives for excellence in all areas of their lives. Stop trying to sell it to me that to know nothing, to learn nothing and to be fat and lazy and dumb is human. It's not. It's third world crap that NO one wants to have to be around.

We enthusiastically endorse Governor Mitt Romney’s economic plan to create jobs and restore economic growth while returning America to its tradition of economic freedom. The plan is based on proven principles: a more contained and less intrusive federal government, a greater reliance on the private sector, a broad expansion of opportunity without government favors for special interests, and respect for the rule of law including the decision-making authority of states and localities.

Applying these principles, Governor Romney would:

ALL economists who count, agree with Mitt Romney.
