Jul 14, 2013 Full story: Click2Houston 148

Leaders at the nation's oldest civil rights organization have spoken with senior members of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder's team at the Justice Department about pursuing federal civil rights charges against George Zimmerman, NAACP president Ben Jealous said Sunday, though Holder himself has noted the high bar for establishing a hate crime.

With Zimmerman being Hispanic and a Registered Democrat and the FBI's findings and Zimmerman's past, I doubt that there will be any DOJ charges filed.

The Only Example of Racism that I have seen in this tragedy is Trayvon Martin refering to Zimmerman as a "Creepy-Ass Cracker".

Yes sir, Zimmerman’s life was officially over the night he stalked and killed that teenaged boy. Zimmerman will be sued in civil court… and he’ll have to work the rest of his life for Trayvon’s family, and that’s after he does federal time… and mind you he’ll never know if someone is going to come up behind him and gun him down like he did Trayvon.
and you belive oj didnt kill his wife. go away jerk-off

Reading through some of these comments, I just have to shake my head. I do this because of things like facts of the case that do not apparently matter.
So a guy shoots another guy and kills him in a form of self defense while getting the hell beat out of him.
This DOJ investigation now is nothing more than a mob witch hunt. That is all. The original arrest was nothing more than a mob witch hunt by media manipulating the facts of the incident and providing falsehoods. Look at the NBC editing of video and 911 calls, the coining of CNN's new term "White Hispanic".
I see this entire thing as nothing more than a media manipulation of the people to drive division and distraction from what our government is actually doing selling the people out to multi-national corporations and getting ready to wage another war. While everyone is focused on Martin being a thug and attacking another individual that resulted in his own death, nobody is looking at the NSA spying, the IRS targeting, the supplying of weapons to Syria in hopes for an Iranian intervention due to the defensive pact.
So let's get this right. A jury of Zimmerman's peers. All woman, representing majority of the races, and 5 of the 6 have children of their own find Zimmerman not guilty of murder. So in other words, a jury decision means nothing. Because if that decision of a jury does not fit into what government wants, government will then get involved and investigate on their own. So why do we even have a constitutional right to a jury? Why do we even have a constitution?
Now the actions of the state were disgusting. Basically it could be summed up like taking handfuls of shit and throwing it at a wall to see what sticks. The perfect example of this was the addition to the charges that could have been applied the night before closing arguments. Like adding Manslaughter, 3rd Degree murder, and even Child Abuse. This DOJ investigation is just another incident of throwing shit at a wall to see if it sticks.
You*re absolutely right and while it is unconstitutional to subject Zimmerman to double jepardy-he cant be retried for the same charges in the same court system-meaning the state court system can do no more to him.But the federal government can accuse him and try him on federal charges in the federal court system. This was done in the South in the 60s and 70s when it was impossible to convict a Ku Klux Klan member of murder-which was a state crime-after their "not Guilty" verdict at the state level the U.S. Attorney-General would bring federal charges against the Klan member to try and get some kind of guilty verdict against them.

The FBI already investigated this and found no Bias and after this case was presented, all the States evidence produced, and Zimmerman found not guilty......what more is there but suck up, knee jerk politics as usual.

Ft Hood is workplace violence, Boston Bombers fell off the radar screen, Fast and Furious, Bengahzi swept under the rug....INCOMPETENCE AS USUAL from the Boob and his Administration.

What will Holder and Obama do about the nightly murders of blacks by other blacks in the City of Chicago ???

Thank God ‘We the People’ elected and re-elected President Obama; because this way we have recourse to get Zimmerman within the judicial system with Eric Holder’s Justice Department looking into bringing charges… something that would not have had a chance of happening with a racist right-wing Administration in the White House. Elections do have consequences after all, LOL!

When is Eric Holder going to bring charges against himself for all the guns he has smuggled to Mexican drug cartels? No wonder the border is not secure. Thanks to Obama the criminals are better armed than the Mexican police.

BTW...

Look at long term unemployment rates amongst blacks and hispanics. Obamanomics is a clearly racist ecomomic policy.

We Florida crackers do not consider that an insult. As for George Zimmerman a brown skinned hispanic guy who looks like an Inca is not a cracker.

Elections do have consequences and we are suffering them now! The most weak, incompetent, in over their heads, lead from behind, racist administration in modern times.
