I know it's a bitter pill to swallow, but the Republicans lost and therefore do not get to enact their policies that failed to win them the election. As the saying goes to the victor goes the spoils.

Of course they lost, about four months ago. Now, when is Obama, our campaigner in chief going to go to work......four years and counting on pivoting to those jobs......yet more golf and more vacations. Doesn't it bother you that the unemployment among blacks is 18% and 25% from blacks 18 to 25. It's no wonder they are all killing each other.

We don't have a serious debt problem in the short term. Most liberals and sane Conservatives know this (even John Boehner has admitted it publicly).
Long-term? We will have to cut some spending, yes. The debate is over where.
Yes, and the poor will suffer either way. I've never seen a bankrupt person pay much in taxes nor contribute to charity. Two pennies won't even go very far.

Holy crap a semi-on topic post...see you can do it if you apply yourself.

As to when is President Obama going to get to work, I would counter with when are the Republicans going to stop obstructing him? Mitch McConnell had to filibuster his own bill not too long ago.

You and the right keep carping on his golf and vacations yet remained deathly quite when GW was doing the same thing if not more, where was your 'outrage' over his vacation and golf times? Some people may think better when out on the golf course. My uncle, ironically named Tom, use to be a salesman and he sealed many a contract on the links.

As to unemployment, well that's just crazy in all demographics, so why single out the blacks? I've been looking for work myself for the past 3 years and aside from a few weeks here and there at temp agencies, I haven't had any luck finding a steady job. I don't blame President Obama, hell I don't even blame President Bush the economy took a header long before them and will take longer than President Obama is able to hold office to correct. To expect stuff to turn on a dime is fool hearty at best and just bipartisan clap trap at worst.

Four years going on five is "on a dime?" Let me remind you that unemployment has hovered around 8% since DumBama took office. One of the longest recoveries in history. Also keep in mind the only reason it isn't above 8% is because of the increasing amount of people (surveyed) that are no longer looking for work or opted to go on our expanding social programs.

What we have here is the most business unfriendly President in most of our lifetimes. The amount of money we will pay in the future in regards to healthcare and energy only removes more disposable income from society. In fact, I had my taxes done yesterday. My preparer told me not to expect any meager refunds from the federal government in the coming years. Commie Care has a clause in it that will force me to pay taxes on the healthcare plan my employer provides me. WTF happened to "Nobody making less than $250,000 per year will see a a tax increase of any kind?"

Bush did take golf outings early on in his Presidency. But after harsh criticism, he stopped. We can't say that about DumBama. Furthermore, Bush created a pretty good economy and didn't preach to people that we citizens need to make sacrifices while he ran around on vacations with his wife taking a separate plane for the same vacation.

Commie Care is a major problem with industry in our country. Countless businesses either closed down or moved out to avoid it, and more are on the way in 2014. This is why DumBama will be a failed President two terms in a row. Our economy will worsen and not because of Republicans stopping idiotic spending. It will be because DumBama forced his Socialist-Communist agenda down our throats.

As spring break begins for schoolchildren across the country, thousands of students will travel to Washington, DC. The trips, funded by bake sales and other events throughout the year, will allow the students to take in Washington's historic landmarks.

One premier destination is off-limits this year, however. A few weeks ago, the Obama Administration announced it was suspending public, self-guided tours of the White House as a result of the automatic sequester cuts that the administration proposed in 2011. While America's students stand outside the White House fence, the First Daughters, Sasha and Malia, are enjoying spring break with friends at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Breitbart News' Matt Boyle broke the news Monday morning that numerous sources have reported seeing the First Daughters in the Bahamas this weekend. Presumably, the Obamas are paying the costs of the resort out of their own pockets. The robust Secret Service detail that must accompany the First Daughters, however, is funded by taxpayers.

The principal reason the White House canceled public tours was to save money on Secret Service staff. The White House reported that suspending the tours would save $74,000 a week. Other reports have put the savings at just $18,000 a week.
Whichever the true amount, the Secret Service detail necessary to protect the First Daughters on their spring break could likely have been used to keep the White House open to the rest of America's school children. Judicial Watch reported that Malia Obama's Spring Break in Mexico last year cost taxpayers over $115,000. That amount would cover 2-6 weeks of White House tours

Fact remains we are now 16 trillion dollars in the hole, our spending is increasing at twice the rate of economic growth and China fixing to overtake us as the worlds largest economy. Those are the real facts.

Typically irrational and non-factual spam post...typically hypocritical and full of gay come-ons, too.

Getting turned down at the local gay bar, are you? Is it the beer belly, the peg leg, or just your general air of insanity, d'you think?:)

>>Our social programs haven't "expanded" significantly, but people are on them because of the slow recovery from recession. Neither Obama (his correct name, please GROW UP) nor Bush did enough for the average person, preferring to prop up big business. That's America, folks.

What we have here is the most business unfriendly President in most of our lifetimes.

>>Absurdly false, as all the bailed-out Wall St. firms would tell you if they were honest.

The amount of money we will pay in the future in regards to healthcare and energy only removes more disposable income from society. In fact, I had my taxes done yesterday. >>Funny, we got nice refunds this year. Maybe you're just cranky about that? Obama Care will be a boon to the insurance companies but also to the uninsured, many of whom can for the first time get coverage no matter what job they have, or if unemployed. That's a big positive for America.

>>Class envy is not only partisan, it's hypocritical coming from a Rightie. Bush spent several times as much vacation time on the ranch as Obama's spent ANYWHERE. Eisenhower played three or four times as much golf. Can you idiots lay off the hating and irrelevant complaints for ONCE?

Commie Care is a major problem with industry in our country. Countless businesses either closed down or moved out to avoid it, and more are on the way in 2014. >>Obamacare, as adults call it, has had nothing to do with the movement of jobs abroad, which have been done by business and for profit, to maximize their bottom line. You don't know squat about the country's recent economic history, do yOU? Or else you CHOOSE to lie, one or the other.

NBC's Pete Williams reports from outside the Supreme Court following the Prop 8 oral arguments.
By Tom Curry, Political Reporter, NBC News
In a historic argument on a challenge to state laws that limit marriage to heterosexual couples, the Supreme Court indicated Tuesday that it might be hesitant to strike down such laws.

Following the oral argument, Pete Williams of NBC News reported that it seemed “quite obvious that the U.S. Supreme Court is not prepared to issue any kind of sweeping ruling” declaring that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry.

Williams said there seemed to be “very little eagerness” from any of the justices to “embrace that broad a ruling.”
