Tell the castrian comunist dictatorship to go FKKK them selves! Gitmo is the only place where justice and freedom are found on the island, except for the terrorist swine of course!

You mean all those "terrorist" whom have not had any charges against them? Or the ones whom have been deems innocent for years yet are still there? And by free do you mean the CIA able to stop the recording of the procedings without the judge's knowledge? Or the spying on their defense lawyers? Or the lawyers denied access to even see their clients?

and this is all besides the fact that if you really wanted strong penalities/jail time then you would be letting the civilian courts deal with it and not military tribunels because the penalities in 100% of the cases would have been heavier under a civilian court.

But instead you choose to lock men up for over a decade with no charges and no due process even though they have been deemed innocent then turn around and claim it is the the place is the most "justice and freedom".

Your hypocrasy knows no bounds.

Who has been deemed innocent? How many released were caught again on the battlefield?

There are rights afforded lawful combatants, international law describes a lawful combatant as a member of an organized military, it does not give lawful status to terrorists, insurgents, freedom fighters or anything else of the nature.

How many Countries have refused return of these " innocent " people? Why?

Cuba has no standing to demand anything of anyone. Legally the US owns Gitmo and the last I saw no one was rafting to Cuba to escape the US.

ZERO has been released and recaught. over 50 % of the 166 prisoners there have been labeled as innocent for years now. And there are a large number of countries willing to take their citizens back including BRitian, Saudi, Iraq, Afganistan, Somalia and many others. Cuba is their own sovereign state, they have as much say what goes on there as we do. And i like how you try to sight international law while ignoring the spying of defense lawyers and their right to speak with their clients. You should learn the facts so you do not need to come to topix to learn them. It will help the discussion along as it seems you are lacking behind.

Cites a total 71 released. 31 to thier home Country, remainder to other Contries for various reasons, such as Chinese Muslims taken to Bermuda. China not good place for religious freedom.

CNN estimates 4% of released prisoners have been returned from the battlefield, that was 2009.

You claim 0 released? You attempt to take me to task for facts? Take your own advice.

Spying on terrorist lawyers? Terrorists are afforded no rights by international law, they are fortunate that we afford them some rights.

I answered your questions; you asked how many were released and returned to gizmo. ZERO have been released from there that ended back up at gitmo. I never said zero has been released. You also proved my point that over 50% of the of the remaining 166 have been cleared.

After you have been cleared to leave (innocent) you are no longer an enemy combatant therefore are now offered many more rights. I know exactly wtf im talking about, so go back and read your original post and see you are wrong.

For the innocent afford them rights. They can't be returned to thier home Countries, others don't want them. What do you do with them?

Of those who are not innocent, what do you do with them?

In the 80's Castro released his criminals on the US, maybe the US should reciprocate and give Cuba the gitmo boys.

I agree with you but keep in mind that NJ (Multi-names) is a fascist Batistian and Christian conservative.

He will have a bright future in Miami politics if he ever moves down here.

MANY of the criminals and the slickest criminals came WAY before the 80s.
Incredibly low political and police standards BEFORE the 80s speak for themselves.

"Elena Diaz, a Cuban-American whose parents immigrated to Miami when she was a baby says,'This is the way it was in Cuba before Fidel Castro. I heard my parents talk about it that country was so corrupt. Corruption's what actually destroyed it and now they're doing the same thing here.'"

USA has a loooooooooooooooooong history of taking what it wants from smaller weaker countries but the UN is our pupett and looks the other way.

In the USA , perception is greater than reality, we scream about other countries while wiping our butts with human rights.

If an innocent person is kidnapped by us and held for decades in a cage than so be it, we do it while the UN stays SILENT and if we want to torture , that is also fine.
