Reign of Terror

Our real indignity should be on our government spying on us and not on foreign nations. But I realized long ago that the first obligation of any government is to protect its self from its own citizens. That is why they have their closed door sessions to the exclusion of the people who have raised them to such high office and that is only a simple and small example. There are many more, but that is not the point here. All these countries work in collusion to exchange information about their citizens. Political power is as much about exhibiting the threat of force as it is about legislation. All governments have some amount of the reign of terror to hold their countrymen in obedience to The State. So lets not forget that it is the nature of power and the State to propagate its interests over those of its citizenry.

If Obama continues a successful program that started under Bush, Bush still gets the credit.

If Obama continues a controversial program that started under Bush, Obama gets the blame.

Didn't you know that?

(Like Obama's support of the Patriot Act; Obama could have NOT RENEWED it. When he did that, he OWNS IT, hook, line and sinker.)

not entirely sure what that sentence means. But i've no doubt that Blair and Bush colluded to spy on the whole world.

Funny how neither of them appear in public anymore. At least Blair doesn't.

I'm not sure if you're incapable of writing a normal sentence or if that gibberish is supposed to make sense.

National Security Agency should be just that, National!

When you get caught spying on your allies, only mistrust can ensue.
