It doesn't matter; jenkins was as much a legal parent as millert. If this had been a hetero marriage where they used donor sperm (making the husband a non-bio parent), there would be no issue--he would have equal footing as a legal paren Moreover, many bio parnts have lost custody to step-parents.

Your lack of legal ethics speaks volumes.

The only snark is coming from you. You are a member of a professional class that is sworn to uphold the law. Your opinion of what the law SHOULD be is irrelevant. The courts in Virginia, Vermont, and Washington DC have been unanimous in declaring the actions of Miller to be illegal.

I cannot imagine my husband telling anybody in any forum that they should not pay taxes, even if he thinks the tax law is unfair. It would be unprofessional.

She kept jenkins, the child's other LEGAL parent, from seeing the child. Miller ignored the orders of two states' courts. Jenkins did not choose to not be a lesbian; she became a jesus freak. Which is irrelevant to the law; becoming a zealous christsucker doesn't excuse you from following the law. She then kidnapped the child and took her to some south american hellhole, thus depriving the child of both her other mother but her own culture, and now they will have to live on the run. BTW--you know what happens to pretty young girls down there?

Yeah, look what extreme religio0n does to families. Good point.

reality aside, you just make stuff up huh?
all it was was that she wouldn't let her ex lesbian partner see the child...
so this woman CHOSE to not be a lesbian (no one comments on that) and decided her partner was dangerous to her biological child, and look what you made her into...
and look what THEY made "family" into...

yes, you can back peddle from claiming I advocated anything.

And hey, what job did you have for GE?

Why do you refuse to say...
I can guess why FRAUD BOY...
same reason you sent me a pic of that $1.5 Million condo and I had to badger you until you finally admitted you don't actually live there...
so i can see why you are keeping your claims of a job at GE close to the vest...
are you sensing your ability to run willy-nilly around this board insulting anyone who post to you is now being constricting?

Maybe if you change your name AGAIN?
just kidding...
your angry trolling is easily identifiable even though you change your name so much...

how about a new fitting name like FRAUD BOY?

Or do you already have that one which you use to play with the icons?
we all know, just admit it dear...

you do see the difference between someone saying I would not pay taxes in that situation and advising a CLIENT, right?

so you are just making up facts and law to make me out as a bad person...this is the lowest form of discourse and you know it...

and BTW, do accountants ever advise not to pay taxes and see what happens?
yah.

are you suggesting they are not professional?

What miller liked, wanted, believed, etc, has no bearing on her responsibility to follow the law. If you were a lawyer, you would know that custody doesn't depend on waiving parental rights. Like it or not, jenkins was just as much a legal parent as miller. As for giving bith? Irrelevant, unless you think bio fathers ALSO have no custody rights.

Oh, bullshit. The same laws apply to ANY parents with custody issues. Are you implying that the bio mom should always have custody? Thousands of social workers would disagree.

As a legal professional, you are held to a standard of ethics on or off the job. Any accountant who advises someone to "wait and see" is both unethical and incompetent.

I guess you only follow laws you approve of. Given your appalling lack of professionalism and ethics, it's hardly surprising.

when the biological mom's only infraction was refusing visitation with someone she saw as DANGEROUS, then the issue is a little deeper than that don't you think?

would you please support your earlier stance that a step parent often gets custody over the biological spouse?

The law says otherwise. That you don't understand that indicates whatever "law school" you purportedly attended was some non-accredited diploma mill. Given your lack of ethics, it was probably a christer one.

Religion is crap. Prove otherwise. Look what it did to miller.
