Jan 25, 2013 Full story: EDGE 405

A Virginia pastor convicted of helping a woman and her daughter involved in a custody dispute with the woman's former lesbian partner was taken into federal custody Thursday after refusing to answer questions about others involved in the flight posed by grand jury investigating the custody case.

You can equate (which IS what you did) miller's actions with slavery, but that just makes you an idiot. There is, for instance, a difference between resisting an unjust law and deliberately disobeying a court order you AGREED to follow. You DO know there's a difference, right?
Then there is the constitutional issue--the one where miller denied jenkins's and the child's established rights.

Good point. SS doesn't care about the rights of the child anymore than he cares for the rights of U.S. Citizens who happen to be GLBT.

To the lawyer here who likes to quote court cases:
Gill v. OPM:
"But even if Congress believed at the time of DOMA's passage that children had the best chance at success if raised jointly by their biological mothers and fathers, a desire to encourage heterosexual couples to procreate and rear their own children more responsibly would not provide a rational basis for denying federal recognition to same-sex marriages. Such denial does nothing to promote stability in heterosexual parenting. Rather, it "prevents children of same-sex couples from enjoying the immeasurable advantages that flow from the assurance of a stable family structure, when afforded equal recognition under federal law.

Here's another question to ponder. Sort of a conundrum.

When a hypocrite calls someone else a hypocrite are they being hypocritical? Or just trying to convince cyberspace they are Father of the Year when it comes to teaching their children by example?

AAAAAaaaaannnnnnnnnndddddddddd dddd...we establish that you know nothing about psychology or child abuse. The effects of abuse last for YEARS and aren't easily hidden--especially if the child has threatened suicide. The FACT is that no such signs were found. Whether it originated in VA is immaterial; the child was interviewed, as were both parents and those around them. The ONLY "evidence" was miller's allegations. Miller, of course, had already established in a court of law that she was a liar.

In fact, the specific claims fit well into miller's religious worldview--zealots see suicide and sexuality as evil, just like homosexuality. The allegations are a christer's nightmare of what they believe happens when children deal with gays. Miller isn't wrapped too tightly emotionally to begin with.

you do get the investigated was opened in VA when the child was no longer seeing jenkins...and jenkins was in VERMONT?

You can't be disbarred if you were never admitted in the first place. He's lying! Do his posts read like someone who has a Juris Doctor degree? He would have never made it through law school with his skill set.

The limits of your ability to make connections astound me...
let me tie them together FOR you...
are there some laws that are justifiable to ignore?
now this part is going to be great.
slave laws and the underground railroad?
I bet you would have hunted down every last slave as it was the law to do so, you would have ratted out the underground railroad wouldn't you have?
see how easy it is to misapply the race card to paint the other person in a negative light?
All I need to do is equate Miller's actions to slavery and bam, you are a jerk...
funny part is, I know how silly it is to do that, but you guys actually think you made an argument when you do that...
so no, I never equated the two acts, I only use one as an example of a law you likely violated and felt JUSTIFIED in doing so...
See how easily you attempt to change the subject through invalid anaolgies? And you wonder why people call you a phony....

I think you are so completely ate up, so convinced that every word you type MUST be true, that you can't even see what you are doing.

That had already occurred to me when I mentioned I now have proof of libel.

And true to form the fool took the bait and dug an even deeper hole.

Care to speculate on his claim of being involved with "task forces"? I'm sure most people in prison could make the same claim.

yes, i do see your inability to make connections...
YOU are relying on VA's protective services finding no evidence at a time when there was no contact and the alleged offender was OUT OF STATE. THE ALLEGED abuse was PRIOR and in ANOTHER STATE....

get it YET?

"An ad hominem (Latin for "to the man"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an argument made personally against an opponent instead of against their argument.[1] Ad hominem reasoning is normally described as an informal fallacy,[2][3][4] more precisely an irrelevance.[5]"
