Nothing radical in this administration

In a recent poll commissioned by Politico, 63 percent of Republicans said Barack Obama was a socialist; 24 percent believe that he wants "the terrorists to win"; and 31 percent think he is "a racist who hates white people." What kind of weird world do we live in? Obama may not be getting Republican votes for his agenda, but he should, since he is ... Full Story

Well said Dr. Heise, but I'm afraid your message will fall on deaf ears. Lebanon and various "conservative pockets" only prove your point since they live in their own microcosm and can't conceive of people in our country that don't see things and live the way they do!

"Nothing radical here, move on, move on". Sounds a lot like "Nothing to see here, keep moving", which usually means there's a lot to see, take a good long look.

Obama started as a Centralist, got elected and moved to the Left, then the Far Left. He is trying to appear as a Centralist still, however trying to take from the wealthy to give to others is not right. Where does it come to play that "our government" can take money from one person to give it to another because the 'government' feels that other person is more deserving? Obama is a joke, but I'm not laughing.

Socialist may not be a perfect match but it's close enough. He's a far left liberal who thiks the government could never be too big and that it should actively participate and have extensive control of all our major industries.

He doesn't want the terrorists to win but it's pretty obvious he thinks higher of Muslims than Jews.

The third one is tricky. He's half white but regularly attended the 'I hate whitey and America' church prior to his nomination. Coin toss.

Paul, you either lost your mind completely or you are a liar. Center right, are you nuts? obama not a socialist, well maybe you're right, the word communist would fit better. A gay that runs our financial comittee and does not even pay his own taxes, that don't bother you? By the way we used to refer to them as queers but you know we are not loosing our rights such as freedon of speech. Voters, replace all those causing the problems that are now facing this nation by voting out both parties as needed. Let the facts speak for themself and never let anyone such as heise change your mind since they have no defense for their statements except to try to discredit those who don't agree with them. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Doesn't being "retired" mean that you no longer are employed?
Geez, why don't you go FY?

Yes, but the implications were that Heise needs to write for a paycheck! I'm sure he is pretty well off and is trying to bring Lebanon out of its bunker! Not all people's objectives are money driven!

The other implication was that he is just some "fringe nut" not capable of obtaining a job in academia and needs the job at the paper.

Anyone who ever met Dr. Heise (and yes I said Dr.) in person and actually talked to him would soon realize he is a pretty sharp man and not some hack.

A poll like this isn't intended to convince conservatives and independents not to believe their own lying eyes.

Because they know better.

But it is a security blanket and a fig leaf for libs who may be troubled by the anti-Obama rumblings they hear.

It's there to reassure the faithful that Der Furher is not the radical that the mean people say he is.

The words Conservatives and Republicans are not interchangeable.
Case and point, the next item you referenced - Health Care.
Third point - Obama didn't know anyone else who could handle a war withdrawal.
Cap and Trade is based on an unproven theory just to make money. I AM NOT STARTING THAT ARGUMENT.
Nuclear reduction - I'll believe it when I see it but that's not what the issue is - it is announcing that we will not retaliate with nuclear weapons to the world.
Lawrence Summers and Timmy are Democrats - and your point again?
Conservatives want the Fed audited.
on and on....
Your article is a pile of crapola sir.

Clearly you must be new on here (and maybe the area), otherwise you would hear the same old song by the frequent posters i.e. Heise is a liberal hack, LVC and their liberals are brainwashing, etc. I am not making that up! The area is split either pro/con LVC and its faculty. Your Go FY comments seem a bit silly when you obviously missed the cheap shot that was directed at Heise.

You are correct that the libbies and the Republicans often do the same things. Big difference though........ we Republicans do it with our own money.
