Zimmerman kills Martin in self defense.
Predictable reaction of the usual suspects: it was racially motivated.White against black even if Zimm is Hispanic.

Black boy kills another black boy.
Predictable reaction of the usual suspects: The NRA and gun manufactures are responsible , the problem? Racism, white on black because they produce the guns knowing that blacks will kill other blacks with them.

Yes Mr. Martin was talking on the phone as he walked on a street at seven in the evening and was stalked/trolled/followed by a "creepy" man who eventually killed the seventeen year old.

Martin would be alive today had he not physically attacked Zimmerman.

Here is the Tampa Bay Times EDITORIAL spocko plagiarized.

"'STAND YOUR GROUND' protects criminals

Florida's "stand your ground" self-defense law should be titled the Criminals Relief Act. When the controversial law was enacted in 2005, law enforcement officials warned it would be invoked by people prone to violence and mayhem. Seven years later, it's clear those fears have been realized. Gang members, drug dealers, domestic abusers and other criminals have walked away from killings thanks to "stand your ground," and it's clearer than ever that the law should be repealed. Lawmakers who suggest a tweak can fix the problems are putting politics over sound public policy and the safety of Floridians.

The most recent analysis of more than 100 fatal "stand your ground" cases by Tampa Bay Times staff writers Kameel Stanley and Connie Humburg found that nearly 60 percent of people claiming the self-defense legal protection had been previously arrested, and one in three were accused of a violent crime. All told, 119 people who invoked "stand your ground" after killing someone had been arrested 327 times, not counting traffic violations or other minor arrests."

Not even Wikipedia would allow this kind of tripe.

Better read the Topix TOS spocko - they don't permit plagiarism.

Zimmerman should sue Martins family civilly for damages.. Martin was 17 and his family was responsible for his actions.
According to the testimony of his friend Martin CLEARLY profiled Zimmerman in labling him a "creepy cracker" Hence his attack was a hate crime.
DOJ should charge him posthumously with a hate crime.
Put that in your pipe an smoke it.

Analysis by who? A virulently anti 2nd amendment segment of American society ..journalists.
On June 6, 1944 over 3 Allied troops landed on Normandy beaches, where they were opposed by more than 2 Nazi troops.

Pretty neat huh? Also perfectly accurate.

It could even be true for May 6, 1944.

Fun with Numbers.

Let me guess-
Tampa Bay Times
Why not extend the Stand Your Ground law to lawful street enforcement by Police Officers? After all they put their lives on the line every day – what makes an ordinary citizen more privileged than police officers in their right to protect themselves? Why is it not legal for police to shoot to kill first and ask questions later if they have cause to prevent a physical attack from a person on the street?

What you did is COPY a copyrighted work, ALTER it, and PUBLISH it with no acknowledgement of the source or authors - you even DELETED their names.

That is PLAGIARISM, Mr.Cheesehead.

Of course being the obvious high school dropout you are, you wouldn't know that.

I wouldn't bother having Topix remove it because it is such a shining example of your idiocy.

Nice EDITORIAL too.

Well SPOCKO, LEO's do have SYG rights.

They DO have the right to shoot an UNARMED assailant who comes at them.

It IS LEGAL for police to shoot to kill first and ask questions later if they have cause to prevent a physical attack from a person on the street.

This is hilarious.

He was afraid to post a link because it would reveal he was quoting an EDITORIAL.

Here's what you do spocko;

Get a copy of War and Peace or Animal Farm.

Change a few lines and put your name on it as author.

Send it off to a publisher.

Fame awaits you.
