<quoted text>If you notice, even the Dems who voted down ending collective bargaining in Ohio also voted down Obamacare. Obamacare places millions of people per state onto Medicaid, it guts Medicare so badly to fund Obamacare that it destroys Medicare to the point doctors are no longer taking people on Medicare, ERs are being shut down, doctors are quitting. I am on Medicare and my doctor quit and the hospital did not give me a new doctor for almost a year because they could not find one to hire. They cut back on many things, increased copayments, and starting next year, with the new cuts to doctor payments down to NOTHING, I bet I lose the new doctor I just got. Obamacare taxes us 1.5 trillion dollars with a host of new taxes, that money goes to people to buy health care. Obamacare exempts so many different groups of people that it cannot work anyway, it destroys Medicare, and it shoves so many millions of people onto Medicaid it will bankrupt the bankrupt states, and it will pay doctors so little for Medicaid patients that no doctors will take them. Obamacare is based on screwing doctors to death and they are not putting up with it, they are quitting. Why should anyone go into student loan debt and become a doctor and be told they can only charge $25 a visit so Obama can give everyone health care, when same person could have gone to law school instead of medical school and charge $1,500 an hour?? It is NOT going to work. It should come down 5-4 against Obamacare, and Obama wasted four years on this. This will make sure he is not reelected, IMO depending on who the Repubs put up. If they put up one of the nuts, Obama will win by default, but if Ron Paul gets some traction, he's polling number one in Iowa and has the ground game, super strong supporters, if he wins Iowa, he will take off, and if he goes up against Obama, Ron Paul will win for sure. He has no scandals, an excellent voting record, no flip flops, he's way smarter than Obama and can debate Obama with regards to Libertarian ideas. Even Romney will be able to beat Obama due to the Obamacare mess. Since the country was in high unemployment and an economic crisis, when Obama could not get single payer Medicare for all, he should have scraped his plan like Hilary did and moved on to other issues, IMO. Obamacare will go down in the Supreme Court and tank his reelection, IMO.
The only gutting of Medicare is to rid us of Medicare Advantage, which successfully cuts the insurance companies out of Medicare. You are mistaken about Medicaid, which will be obsolete when everyone in this country has their own health care insurance. Ron Paul is a flake, and he will not be the Republican nominee. The last poll I saw had Romney 6 points behind Obama. You are entitled to your opinion, but don't forget it was the Republicans who voted in favor of ending Medicare as we know it in the House of Representatives this year. Hal Rogers voted aye on that legislation. Paul Ryan hates the fact that the insurance companies are getting the boot from Medicare, because everyone knows that the Republican Party is a wholly owned subsidiary of said insurance companies!

In jury trials they are supposed to have an impartial jury, why would someone who is obviously so biased be allowed to rule on something this important?!

Yours is an odd observation. Barack Hussein Obama is deep in the pockets of Unions...and they fight tooth and toenail to control their own insurance coverage. Mainly because of the kickbacks to union bosses. And BHO struck a deal with the drug companies who will continue to get "their's" under Obamacare. Combine that with the AARP whose CEO is an Obamacare puppet and in cahoots with United Healthcare on behalf of the liberal machine and your theory is blown to hell and back.
And you forget that Obamacare cut $500 billion from Medicare. Sit down and talk to your doctor and get the real story....and don't tell me differently because I know better. People without a Medicare Supplement policy will find it hard to get specialists to accept them...and they will be relegated to family care providers who are willing to accept the new Medicare rules and payment plan.
Now...I am a Democrat and absolutely hate the stuff Obamacare does to our seniors..and the nation as a whole. I am also a senior citizen who is retired and paid my fair share of payroll taxes for 45 yrs, and still have to pay taxes and insurance premiums.

The $500 billion cut is the share that the insurance companies rape the government for Medicare Advantage. It is the reason that Paul Ryan is so vehemently trying to cut said insurance companies back into the mix. I forgot nothing, and am very sure you are not a Democrat!

I think the people on the SCOTUS should just end the charade and wear Red or Blue robes and go directly to a ruling viewed on PPV.

The vote is always a forgone conclusion yet they waste the public's time and money writing up a decision that was already made on ideological biases.

The Constitution is irrelevant to the ruling.

Then you are very wrong. I'm just not your kind of liberal Democrat. And the $500 billion includes cuts in payments to doctors and healthcare facilities. Like I said, check with your healthcare providers. They are not happy with this and many will not take Medicare patients who do not have a supplement policy. That hurts many many seniors.

By all means support the right wing position that ends Medicare as we know it. Take a look at 6 Republicans who are desperately in the process of cutting entitlement spending, while they protect the rich like a mother bear protects her cubs. No compromise by Nov. 23, and the ax will fall on entitlements and defense spending. This is not the position that the Democrats favor. Doctor payments for Medicare have been legislated on a year to year basis. You have some ill conceived notions that you have obviously inherited from listening to a little to much Faux News.

Ya do realize that if the min. wage was raised, it would do little for the plight of poor people, dont you.

If lets just say the min wage was raised to $10 per hour, Walmart would need to raise its prices to be able to afford the higher cost of labor. Or.. they fire people... Either way, the "raise" that was given would then be negated by new cost of living...
Simple economics really...

The far left is just as bad as the far right. All of them are nuts. Everytime the far left sees Obamacare damages Medicare, when they see real stories of people not having doctors, they do not care about the people, yet they claim to be all about the people. All they care is to defend Obama no matter what. The far left is stuck in the 1960s, they have nothing to offer this country, they are total phonies, and the far right is the past, the undeducated, low IQ haters. One is no better than the other.

A perfect example of this is at the exact same time you can watch Bill O'Reilly on Fox lie and lie an lie to keep us stuck on ending carbon energy, lie for the oil companies while Ed Schultz is on MSNBC making it up government workers should be in unions. One is evil, the other one is out of his mind. All the far left offers is it is 1965 still, defend the 50 year failure of the black community living on welfare, defend them no matter what, lie that government workers should have the right to be in unions to fight against taxpayers, make it up those big union pensions don't make those people one percenters, make it up 47 states are not bankrupt from the state pension promises, and all Fox does is make it up we must have a war in Iran, more war profiteering, we must stay on oil, no clean, renewable energy, we must cut and cut taxes on the rich until the one percent who have all of the money pay NO taxes. Both MSNBC and Fox need to go off of the air, IMO. It just came out that Detroit is flat broke and going to have to do away with government employee pensions, they cannot be paid. CA has over 500 billion dollars in state pension promises it cannot pay. Both parties need to go, the extremes on both sides need to go. Ron Paul 2012.

First...I consider Medicare or Social Security to be "entitlements" in one respect only...the fact that I am entitled to receive the moneymy employers and I paid in over 45 yrs of working, and any interest it made. And the fact that I pay a premium for healthcare...albeit a small one. But, I also pay a monthly premium for a Medicare Supplement...this means that my wife and I now pay about $450 per month for healthcare insurance. Combine that with what I paid in payroll tax over the years and I do not think it qualifies as a "welfare entitlement." And, over 45 years I paid in enough SSI to cover my own SS income until I am over 90 years old. However, Medicaid is a true entitlement.
Two things need to be addressed before attacking my paid for benefits. First, include the amount paid in by those who died before becoming old enough to retire. Next, sort out the federal employees who work for the SSA...their bloated benefits and pension plans are paid for by mine and your money...and they don't pay SSI. The real pisser offer is the billions it takes to administer their thieving union, which adds no value to the system...it is just a money pit controlled by greedy union officials.
And, by the way, I did not mention Fox News, even though it is the only real news offered today.

O'Reilly is a total shill for the corporations and oil companies. He does not have one honest bone left in his body. His days are coming to an end. He is old and a billionaire. He doesn't need to keep using his show to sell books and sell tickets to his shows. He is old, he should retire, he is owned by the oil companies, the corportions and the one percent. He IS the one percent. I have caught him do nothing but lie over the last year. I finally no longer look at him nor at Hannity. It is very, very upsetting to me to see this stuff. O'Reilly is evil vile garbage, Ron Paul is an honest man of great integrity and superior intelligence. NO comparision on Earth between those two people.

Remember this...Ron Paul is Ron Paul...that is as simple as you can describe him. His fiscal ideas are well worth putting on the table. He is an American patriot. He is not a liberal or a progressive. This is all good stuff. He does, however, fail to recognize the role of the USA on the world stage. His idea is for the USA to adopt an isolationist role in world affairs. And I was absolutely apalled at his statement about "all Iran needs is friendship." Hell, he is worse than Barack Hussein Obama on that subject.
Ron Paul's heart is in the right place but he is an eccentric individual. We cannot have that.

What are you going to do, borrow a couple trillion dollars more from China to have a war in Iran?? This country was at peace after the Vietnam War, from 1970 until 2001. Now we have been in two wars for ten years. We did not have to be in a war in Iraq at all. Now the same people who profit from the wars are selling you yet another war, and rather than get it that Ron Paul is telling you the truth, he's trying to save you from the war profiteers, you guys buy another war. I don't buy it. I'm 54, I was a kid when people protested the Vietnam War. I lived in this country for 30 years without any major wars. I see the Republicans making trillions of dollars off of wars and telling me I need yet another war. Well I voted Republican for 36 years now and we are now in 15 trillion dollars of debt. I don't like it one bit, so I do not want another war. If Ron Paul was right about the debt, about the Fed, about everything, who is to say he is not right about not going to war with Iran?? Iran can't bomb us. We are told we must have a big war over there for Israel. I believe Ron Paul saying the Iranian regime is going to collapse soon enough on its own and that we negotiated with Russia and other enemies of ours who have nukes, that we don't need to hand Haliburton and Bechtel Corp. another 2 trillion dollars to have a war in Iran and rebuild Iran. Those people on Fox make all of the money off of the wars, off of their Halibuton stocks, off of their defense companies, off of their oil stocks going up in value when we attack counties that have a lot of oil. Ron Paul is right about everything else, why would I think he is wrong about Iran??
