I agree with the premise that immigrants should get respect. And as we respect the immigrants we should strongly condemn the ILLEGAL immigrants who denigrate the efforts of those who paid honor to our country by observing our laws and rules. Why shouldn't there by loud and irate voices over the plundering of our country? Our resources are being stolen; our hospitals and schools are overwhelmed, and our culture is in the toilet. Every community should be organizing and VOTING OUT every elected official who does not support enforcement of immigration laws.

I came as Legal Immigrant into this beautiful Country through Brownsville, TX., in 1962 a week before JFK was assassinated in Dallas. I got drafted in 1969 and served in the US Army in the Viet Nam Era. Now a U.S. Citizen I am proud to be an American without forgetting my culture which is Hispanic. There is nothing wrong with the illegal aliens people are beginning to hate specifically Brown color, they don't realize that Haitians, Arminina, Jews, Nigerians, Africans, Congolians, Asians, Koreans, China, Japan, Russians, Germans, Arabians, Iraqis, Iranis, Italians, Turquis, you name it we got people coming from all over the world illegally into this country why the hatred against the Latinos the only people working in the cold weather in the farms making sure we have food in our table every day. Lou Dubbs is against Latinos but he loves Mexican food of Margaritas. Bottom line yes there is a lot of ill-hatred against Latinos but if you watch Tru TV (Court TV) COPS you'll be the judge who commit the most heinous crimes against elderly and young and even against cops.
When I was in the Military I learned no to hate my neighbor nor my friends and I never did. And and tough that same lesson to my family three Daughters and to my only Son who is now presently in the U.S. Army just finished 15 months tour in Iraq and going in December to Afghanistan, he has no problems with no one he gets along with everybody.
So Stop the Hate and Love or say Hi to your Neighbor or your co-worker or friend,just say hi and smile, HATE WILL GET YOU NOWHERE, PEOPLE WILL HATE YOU INSTEAD AND YOU WILL HAVE NO FRIENDS, INSTEAD ANGER WITHIN YOU.

Yes, we do have illegals here from other countries. But 85% of them happen to be from Mexico.
It's the illegals from Mexico we've seen marching in our streets, waving flags from their homeland, refusing to assimilate, embrace our culture or learn our language.
They have put a Mexican face on illegal aliens in this country!
Btw...it's kind of difficult to talk to your neighbors when they don't understand what you're saying.

The point is not that illegal is good but that who the government chooses to let in legally is an equally big problem. This needs reforming.

Adapt the recent Arizona Employers Sanctions Act. Employers are mandated to use the federal ssn verification system. If they don't, they are liable for criminal prosecution. Make the environment such that illegals will have to look elsewhere to settle down.
The laws on the books make sense. Just enforce them.

As one hispanic woman said to me "People complain about hispanics getting welfare, but Russians get it for life." Also read "The Baby Registry of Choice" about Koreans flying in to have citizen babies. Overlooked is the rapid growth of the Korean population here. How are they coming in so fast and so many? They can fly in and qualify for (oppressed minority) business loans, hard won by the civil rights movement they never participated in.
Armenians and Russians on programs live in the better neighborhoods, not with the poorer often black and hispanic groups who must be receiving only coach class welfare.
