I just checked the Illinois State Bar Association web site. Barack Obama is not currently a licensed attorney in Illinois. Did he ever pass the Illinois bar exam or was he given reciprocity from another state? Was he ever licensed in IL or any other state? If not, why not? Why did he really leave the law firm he was with in Chicago to become a "community organizer?" What is a "community organizer," for whom did he work and was it for pay or as a volunteer? And what about Michelle?

Obama still has not addressed the question on everyone's mind... In the 20 years he attended this church, and in the 17 or so years Rev. Wright has been his spiritual advisor, can Obama really expect us to believe Rev. Wright never had a conversation similar to his sermons with him? Can Obama expect us to believe his moral compass has not been influenced at all by Dr. Wright?

A community organizer is someone who uses his/her talent and intellect to help communities of poor people improve their lives. For example, a lot of young single parents can't look for work because they can't afford day care. If you get 30 such parents together and organize funding from local churches and charities, you could set up a day care center that allows them to become more productive.

Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and decided not to take the high-paying corporate law route. His wife Michelle was in law school, also at Harvard, some years before him, and worked at a high-powered law firm Sidley, specializing in intellectual property before resigning and joining Obama's community efforts. Her income fell and rose again when she joined the University of Chicago Health System as an executive and Treehouse foods as a director. Obama interned at Sidley.

Community organizers get paid little or no money, certainly less than a high-powered Harvard couple would normally expect to make.
HIllary Clinton failed the DC bar exam, it was pivotal in her decision to move to Arkansas. Of 817 applicants, 551 of her peers had passed, most from law schools less prestigious than Yale. She kept this news hidden for the next thirty years. In fairness, Michelle Obama also didn't pass the Illinois bar exam on her first try. In fairness to both of them, Harvard and Yale, unlike many law schools in the country, couldn't be bothered teaching students to pass bar exams and going to school out of state is a real disadvantage.

Hope this helps.

Of course, Hillary Clinton's a member of the "Fellowship," which is an ultra-right wing, almost fascist organization. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more press. Perhaps it's obvious why Wright wouldn't be her pastor. He's way too progressive for her.

In AMERICAN - HOME OF THE BRAVE AND LAND OF THE FREE, there is a Constitutional separation of church and state. Rev. Wright is in his country, in his church, using his cherished First Amendment freedoms for which his people fought, sacrificed and died. Any insidious ingrate that is too fragile for our cherished freedoms for which many brave people, including Rev. Wright's, excluding Irish Catholics, Italians, Jews, Koreans, Cubans, etc., sacrificed so much, should return to his country! Bon Voyage!

Rev. Wright served this country as a Marine and it is not just his right to admonish his country for committing egregious sins, it is his duty. He has earned the right to admonish a country that has subjected its most patriotic citizens to a Holocaust! African Americans have endured too much abuse and suffering to have to endure more from insidious ingrate.

Why aren't you all asking John Hagee or Mccain who went after Hagee's support to address his statements? "The Catholic Religion is The Great Whore and the people of New Orleans deserved what happened to them." How can you people be so hypocritical and bias in 2008. I wonder what many of you are teaching your children. Is it that you can say mean derogatory things about people if you are a White pastor who happens to be a Conservative, but if you are Black and represent minorities, you should be dammed for speaking some things that are really true in essence.

Obama is a fraud,he is a creation of the media that backfired because they didn;t do their homework. He should resign from the Democratic Party for nomination of president just like he wanted Don Imus fired. If most Whites spent 20 yrs. of listening to their Rev;s,Pastors,Rabbi;s and Priest spewing the hate that rev. Wright has,Obama would probably be non-existent today.GOD BLESS AMERICA.

MCCAIN STATED A FEW WEEKS BACK THAT THERE WILL BE A "TERRORIST ATTACK" IN USA TO CHANGE THE OUT COME OF ELECTION...THEN MCCAIN GOES ON HIS LITTLE JOURNEY TO MIDDLE EAST...MCCAIN COMES HOME THE DEATH RATE OF SOLDIERS IS RISING...IN HIS SPEECH COUNT HOW MANY TIMES HE SAYS ISLAM....YES THE GOOD OLE USA IS GETTING READY ONCE AGAIN TO ACT LIKE ANOTHER COUNTRY/RELIGION/RACE...WHATEV ER SUITS THEM AT THE TIME TO KILL A FEW THOUSAND AMERICANS OFF TO HAVE THE ULTIMATE EXCUSE TO INVADE...CAN YOU GUESS? YOU GOT IT IRAN THIS TIME. THINK FOR A MINUTE WHY WOULD SUCH A MESSED UP GOVERMENT EVER ALLOW A WOMEN AND A BLACK MAN (WHO THEY KNEW HAD MUSLIM IN HIS BACKGROUND) RUN FOR PRESIDENT...WELL OF COURSE FOR THEIR BENIFIT. AND JUST LIKE 911 SOMEONE ELSE GETS THE BLAME AND WE GET THE BEST EXCUSE THERE IS TO GO TO YET ANOTHER WAR/INVASION. NO I AM NOT OBAMA OR HILLARY BACKER I AM NOT VOTING, I REFUSE TO BE APART OF THE BLOOD SHED. SO MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS LET YOUR LOVED ONES KNOW YOU LOVE THEM. HUG THEM EVERY DAY. THIS NEXT ATTACK YOU CAN BET IS GONE TO BE IN AN UNEXPECTED PLACE. I WOULD ASSUME IN A VERY WELL TO DO PLACE THIS TIME AROUND. YOU CAN RANT AND RAVE IM CRAZY I DON'T CARE, IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES YOU JUST NEED TO OPEN THEM ALITTLE. YOU CAN BET YOUR GONE TO HEAR OH THIS ONE OR THAT ONE HAS THREATEN AN ATTACK, YOU KNOW HOW THE GOVERNMENT CAN DOES PUT WHAT THEY WANT OUT THERE. BUT THE SHAME OF IT IS IT WILL BE FROM THEMSELFS.

You can't change anything if you don't vote. But with voting comes the intelligence to study. Not just listen - study! I have a son in the Army & he has lost friends in this war. They believe in this war. Don't do the Vietnam thing -- support our government! If you don't vote - you have no say - but we are a democracy! The majority wins - whether that is who I vote for or not - but our Military - no matter what branch - HAVE A COMMANDER IN CHIEF - our President is their boss!! NO MATTER WHETHER THAT IS WHO THEY PERSONALLY VOTED FOR!! They are sacrificising their life for your FREEDOM!! Standup for our MILITARY! Be Proud!! I am a parent who said "Not you - Let it be someone else's son!" He said "This is the best way for me to protect my wife,(child - Now), and my family -- all the people I love!! This is the way our military feels! They are Protecting all your rights!!!! So believe in them - and the wonderful sacrifices they are making for us!!! God Bless America and the Wonderful Men and Women Who Are Willing to Defend US!! A Very Proud Texas Army Mom

Hillary Clinton's positive rating has dropped to a new low of 37 percent in an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday. John McCain has an open field and his approval ratings continue to climb. McCain's team is fresh and gearing up for for the race to Nov. Barack and Hillary's campaign staffs are in danger of burning out before the general race even starts. The Democrat leaders have a choice to saddle up with Bill and Hillary and let this bloodbath continue or saddle up and take on McCain and his team. Hillary has a 5 percent chance of winning the Democrat Nomination, and according to her own pollster she has to go even more negative. We already see this happening. Is this war worth it? Vote Obama!

Katherine,
did you not just read about what the muslim believe? It has been proven over and over Obama is tied to them. why would we vote for a man who has ties or is tied to those who have and who want to kill all Americans. My children and I would thank-you not to vote for a man who has ties to those who are killing and have killed their loved ones! Our war was because of them not President Bush, he just happened to be the President when the attack against his country came. I personally want to thank the men and women and their families that are fighting for the freedom the muslims (obama fans) are taking away from us!!!
You are such an ignorant person, I bet you you just hear his name you started to think he was a Muslim. never mind he has been a Christian(who cares) all his life...

Compare The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speeches and those of Rev. Wright, and one must wonder what happened to Black religious leaders if Wright is to be excused for his bigotry by saying it was "part of his generation".

I am tired of excuses for racism.

I ma tired of ignorance and hatred being embraced for the sake of racial pride.

I am tired of excuses for irresponsibility being offered at every turn.

The Pledge of Allegiance was BEFORE Obama took the stage. Was this to avoid the embarrassment of him not holding his hand over his heart?

I am Muslim, and I am sick and tired of hearing this nonsense about Barack Obama being a Muslim, or even being the son of a Muslim. I will point out some important things, and these are based on Islam:

1-His mother was an atheist
2-If his father was a Muslim and was actually married to his mother in an Islamic marriage ceremony (the latter seems quite doubtful), then because of her atheism, the marriage would not be considered in existence under Islamic law because there is no such thing as a marriage between a Muslim man and an atheist woman
3-Chances are there was no Islamic marriage at all so the child they had was out of wedlock
4-In the absence of a valid Islamic marriage, any child born to a woman and a Muslim man, is not considered the son of the man. He is not allowed to take his name, nor inherit, nor enjoy any of the other benefits of a father-son relationship.
5-Therefore, Obama is not the son of a Muslim man.
6-However, according to Islam, every child in the world is born Muslim
7-Furthermore, Islam says that as a child grows, it is their parents who give them their religion through how they raise them. That is their parents' fault, not their own.
8-Obama's mother was an atheist, and raised him without any religion, so therefore, he cannot be considered in any shape or form to have been a Muslim apostate. He may be considered a Muslim at birth like every one of you, but since he did not have the benefit of an Islamic upraising, it was impossible for him to leave Islam.

So there you have it. I feel no special kinship with Obama from a Muslim perspective, because his so-called Muslim ties do not really exist under the teachings of my religion. All you non-Muslims can go around suggesting he is a closet Muslim or an apostate, but I won't, because at least from an Islamic perspective, that is a lie.

You sound like a zealot. Just for your information - while I may have been born under the grace of G0D I am not going to adhere to any category of man made religion, especially one that declares "all of us are born Muslim".
My relationship with G0D is private and not up for your discussion or analysis.
