Global oil consumption will drop this year for the first time since 1983, as an economic downturn in the West and slower growth in China cuts fuel demand, according to the world's main energy forecaster.

Well, Most people are still recouping what they had to spend in there vehicles back a few months ago when Gas was going for 3.50-4.00 a gallon. It's all part of the Neocons Agenda's. Don;t Know who the Neocons are? Then it's time to start doing your homework. See who ruining this country and what it stood for . Watch this video and see who is setting our gas prices and for what reason. It will shock you. Trust me! Now with the Talk of Iran in the news, also watch and learn why Iran, Like Iraq will be the next country the United States will invade, and for what reason. What do you have to loose, but to learn the real reasons before all of us.

The low fuel prices of $45/barrel still provide lots of windfall oil revenues to the oil rich radical Islamic regimes in the Middle East.
However, the Islamic terrorists of al Qaida and Taliban under the Saudi Arabian regime and the Hamas and Hezbollah Islamic terrorists under Iranian regime will see diminishing financial support which is good news to the civilized world. Evidently, the soaring oil price was a plot by the anarchist pro-Islamic billionaire George Soros and his MoveOn group who cooperated with the oil-rich radical Islamic and socialistic regimes to destroy US economy and US corporations before the elections of November 2008 that was a tool to push the Islamic Messiah Barack Hussein Obama to power by all means.
The stock market was helping the liberal billionaires by selling huge amount of oil reserves "on paper" without the need to make the oil sale final only to create a major demand of oil that causes his price to soar. Even Barack Hussein Obama was surprised at the high oil price of $147/barrel few month ago on July as he said that the price raised too fast as he was expected it for his anti Bush and global warming agenda.
Now that Obama was elected and wall streets fell apart, no liberal billionaire is buying huge oil reserves "on paper" to push the price up until it will be needed to push oil price back up for Barack Hussein Obama global warming carbon tax plan and for his tightened cooperation with the Iranian regime of Ahmadinajad in early 2009.

When gas prices began rising President Bush went to Saudi Arabia to ask for an increase in oil production. Bush warned that the high price of oil could push the world into recession.
He was right.
The Saudis refused to pump more oil in their bid to keep prices high and swing the election.
The next step will be for the Saudis to demand that obama sell off America's Strategic Oil Reserves the very same way they intimidated Clinton to sell the Reserves when he was president.
Look for obama to bend over even faster than Clinton did.

It took Bush 7 years to refill the Reserves that Clinton sold off. The Democrats put a stop to the refilling this year, using their majority in Congress.
obama and the Democratic Congress will re-rape the Oil Reserves and the news media will ignore it as an issue the same way they protected Clinton from criticism for making America vulnerable to oil shortages and emergencies.

Jones - What the heck are you talking about?! Lower oil consumption and low oil prices are good for everyone in the U.S., Liberals and Conservatives alike. I'm riding my bicycle most days to work every day (unless I have to carry something really heavy).
We're in this together. We need to keep oil prices low. The only way to do that for a negative oil producing country like ours is to conserve.
We don't burn oil as much, we send a message. The message is that we don't need the oil you think we do. We just don't need it!

The energy crisis of the 1970s, better known as jimmy carter days, saw the proliferation of MoPeds on the highways. After 30% of the MoPed riders ended up as road kill the rest of them returned to their cars.

Senior asks,‘Why is heating oil so costly?’

Thursday December 11 2008

Dear editor,

I recently stopped for gas and filled my tank at the cost of 76.9 cents per litre.

On arriving home I found a bill in my mailbox informing me that an oil delivery had been made,

filling my furnace’s oil tank at the cost of

86.9 cents per litre

(exclusive of GST by the way).

I have always understood that the cracking process of crude oil was much more extensive and

costly to convert it to gasoline than that of the heavier oils,

such as that used in our furnace.

Also, that a much greater amount of furnace oil can be derived from a barrel of crude than that of gasoline.

Another perception I have always been given is that gasoline prices include a very high percentage of taxation,

supposedly to support the construction and maintenance of our roads,

which logic suggests would not be necessary in so far as furnace oil is concerned.

Therefore, can anyone explain to me why it is necessary to pay almost

15 cents per litre more for furnace oil?

This admittedly is the first time I have noticed it to be higher in price,

but during last winter,

with the GST added in,

it was roughly the same price as gas.

In years previous,

it was always much less.

It really annoys me how much media attention has been given to the high cost of gasoline over the past year or so,

but no one mentions how costly it has become to simply heat our homes.

We have a newer high efficiency furnace that’s only two years old,

we use a set-back thermometer and

although we are seniors,

we keep our home relatively cool in order to save money.

A year ago we had our attic insulation raised to about R45.

We have gotten rid of our second car,

sold our house trailer,

traded our eight-cylinder car for a six-cylinder and

cut back our driving to an absolute minimum in order to conserve gas,

but there is little else we can do to lower our heating cost.

I don't believe anything any Republican or neocon tells me. You people are pathetic. Must be just a coincidence, huh, that the price of gas is dropping just as Bush is leaving office. I know, it's just a coincidence.

Interestly, the so-called demand for oil spiked when Bush took office and the demand is down now that he's leaving office.

It's really hard to believe that world-wide energy consumption jumped up nearly overnight 7 years ago and has just as suddenly gone back to normal.

That's called Utopia. It's been tried in many different ways, but has never succeeded because human beings are basically self-centered and greedy.

Interestingly, there was no reference to that at all in the article.
And it hasn't ..."suddenly gone back to normal." ... it's lower than it's been in 25 years.

I didn't say it had anything to do with the article, genius. I was making a point; one that obviously found the nerve of a Bush-lover. What have YOU been reading?

Gas prices lowest in 25 years!!!! Where youin diapers 25 years ago? The Iran-Iraq War shot gas prices through the roof at that time. They were close to 3.30 a gallon in 1982.

In 2000, gas was 1.20 a gallon. In July 2008 it was 3.98 a gallon. Today it is 1.80.

Before you find fault with other people's posts, why don't YOU look up the information for yourself. It's really not that difficult; you're sitting at the computer anyway. Google "gas price history" and
