It is my considered opinion that this man knows MORE about the matter than yourself:
"So shall we ban kitchen knives? Or cars? Actually, most mass attacks in China – which like almost all despotisms has very tight gun laws – are done with either knives or explosives. The important thing is that these attacks still happen even with gun laws.
What I am asking you to do here is to think. Don’t be herded into the standard liberal opinion, that the Sandy Hook School tragedy is the fault of America’s allegedly crazy gun laws.
Actually, Connecticut’s gun laws are a good deal tighter than Britain’s were before 1920. British gun law before then was so relaxed it made Texas look effeminate. Did the streets of Edwardian London echo to gunfire? Were school massacres common? No.
Were guns restricted here because of crime? No, they were restricted because the panicky British government thought there might be a revolution.
In Switzerland, to this day, most homes contain powerful military weapons and ammunition. But gun crime is extremely rare there (unless you count suicide). Yet these massacres are a feature of modern life. They happen in countries such as Britain and Germany that already have severe gun laws. "

Well, well everyone agrees with you in the wacky world of psycho gun-a-holics!

My argument would be
There are no States that are not free in the Union
And All states have a Well Regulated Miltia
The people have a right to bear arms but those rights are not unlimited and all laws must be obeyed.
Any Arms that have been used by the people to break the laws of a state may be deemed to be illegal.
Any Arms not having been used to break the laws of a state, deemed to be a threat to any free state may be well regulated.
And your argument fails;

"Any Arms that have been used by the people to break the laws of a state may be deemed to be illegal."

That would apply only to those used illegally by an individual and confiscated as evidence...an entire class of arms would NOT be illegal.

"Any Arms not having been used to break the laws of a state, deemed to be a threat to any free state may be well regulated."

Who would "deem" any arms "as a threat to any free state"...? Under what authority would arms "may be well regulated"...? There is no such authority within the 2nd Amendment. It is the militia that will be "well regulated", as in trained in military arms, equipment and tactics.

"My argument would be" has no place here.
I did not present an argument that begged a counter, sir.
I asked you a simple question.
ONE simple question, and you respond with a counter argument to something that does not exist in my post.

Well, with the exception of that pesky 2nd Amendment that enumerates that very right "of the people" to "keep and bear arms".

"No matter if someone has a felony or is mentally mess up and u denied them a right to a gun and they are a U.S citizen to me the govt already has made there own rules already so why are you against gun control they already doing it as it is !"

Those you name have had their "due process of law" also required under the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

"Endlessly"...my "drivel"...?...No, not that I recall...however, I do believe I may have referenced it a couple times in various forums. By no means have I ever "sprouted endlessly" regarding it.

It's commendable that you admit it.
You say that I am wrong.
OK, let's assume for a moment that you are correct. Now watch carefully and you will see where I now need your help now.
I have shown you exactly WHERE you were wrong.
Now, this is where YOU show me, and the rest of the readers here, where I am wrong.
Fair enough?

The two eldest ones are in Yr10 and just finished Yr12, she had an OP of 3. She will be going to UQ.
The one who will be starting Yr10 next year has not decided where she wants to go, either QTC like her dad, or QUT.
They're brother will be starting Y9 early next year and the rest are in the Primary School range.
Sounds like a nice family.

What is OP of 3?

Go back to the teevee, it suits you. The flicker rate, and the content will keep you occupied indefinitely.
Sounds like you have a lot of experience watching tv.

Can you recommend a few shows I might like?
