You people are, as I have said all along, not very intelligent. BTW, was I right about Arkansas being the French pronunciation of that root word? You've had several days to check it out so you should have an answer by now.

When I was still serving in the USN, I made several WESTPAC (West Pacific) cruises, and one of the places many of us looked forward to was a stop at Subic Bay, in the Philippines. There was a Naval Station Subic Bay, and in that bay is place called Grande Island. There were accommodations on the island which were not much more than screened house, and even on the worst of the worst hot nights, there was always a nice breeze blowing through the screens which afforded a very decent night's sleep. Now, back when I was a young laddie, there were nights when my parents and I slept on the back porch —itself screened in— and it was just grand, especially when we had electrical storm pass through, and the rain came pouring down. What an experience! Don't know if you could do that where you're at, if you happen to have prowlers and what not.

When I as kid circa '68, we had a large home with a porch that was covered though not screened in. Large enough for the whole family (9). Dad used to come out on rainy and stormy nights and sit and a few siblings and I would join. Amazing what memories a crack of thunder and the smell of rain can bring back.

Actually, bed tents were quite common in the US —for those whom could afford them— back before the advent of the window screen, especially in those areas with heavy mosquito populations/infestations.

Must have been before my time. Philippines was the first time I ever used one, far as I can remember.

You're already well on the way. What does your post have to do with guns or gun control? Yeah, thought so.

LOL You can't even come up with an original name sunshine, how could you possibly achieve such a lofty goal of 'kicking" someone around? All you have done so far is spew some pretty lame juvinile tripe, that mean pretty much nothing. I think I will rename you "So Far" So Far he has shown nothing of intelligence. So Far he has shown nothing but juvinile stupidity. So Far he is lacking in substance. So Far he is SADLY lacing in integrity. So Far he does even have the fortitude of giving himself a nick that isn't based on someone elses. So Far he hasn't advanced any arguemnt that is on topic. So Far he is setting himself for failure. So Far he is worthless as an advesery. So Far out there he is maybe mentally unbalanced. So Far gone there is no hope for him.
