The International Crisis Group
Robert Malley is the Director of the Middle East/North Africa Program at the International Crisis Group (ICG). Given the impressive title of the group, one might expect it to have along and impressive pedigree -- say long the lines of the well-regarded Council of Foreign Relations. In fact, the group is rather small and it has a short pedigree. More importantly, it has ties to George Soros. Soros is a man who has supported a wide variety of groups that have shown a propensity to criticize America and Israel; a man who has made clear his goal is to break the close bonds between America and Israel ; supported the views of Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer whose work on the issue of the "Israel Lobby" has been widely criticized for factual inaccuracies, shoddy research, and has been called "anti-Semitic" in the Washington Post; a man who has taken steps to counter the supposed political influence of the pro-Israel community in America; a man who has also been a key financial backer of Senator Obama's; and a man who can activate a wide variety of 527 (c) and other activist groups for any politician he supports.
Soros is a funder of the ICG through his Open Society Institute ; he serves on its Board and on its Executive Committee. Other members of the Board include Zbigniew Brzezinski (whose anti-Israel credentials are impeccable) and Wesley Clark (who called US support for Israel during the Hezbollah War a "serious mistake"; who has flirted with anti-Semitic conspiracy theories; and who has been the direct beneficiary of donations made by Soros ; Wesley Clark has defended the actions of George Soros.

I am Angry and Bitter!~~~~~~~~~
J. C. Watts a Black Republican speaks ~ Colleague and Friend of Drevelyn “D” Minor ~ I personally supported and hosted a fundraiser for Mr. Watts at my home in San Francisco the first time he decided to run for a political position in the Republican Party.~~~~~~~~~ The statement below was written by: J. C. Watts a Black Republican and I bet you he has solid information on what he has chosen to share with the public. J.C. Watts is a rare breed, a black Republican, the first elected from a southern state in over 120 years. Instead of joining the Congressional Black Caucus (obviously primarily Democratic in nature), he was chosen chair of the House Republican Conference (1998). Since retiring from Congress he has headed J.C. Watts Companies, a consultant in business strategies, and is active on several corporate boards.~~~~~~~~~ I must add this; the Republican Party Members (White Men) clearly demonstrated their racist acts toward this young Black Man. He was too young to retire on his on….~~~~~~~~ Mr. Watts Wrote:~~~~~~~~~ Ed Rendell, the state's Democrat governor and the very effective spokesman for Clinton's campaign there, generously praised Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam 11 years ago. This is an issue because for so many people, Farrakhan is poisonous. It is safe to say his tone makes many voters nervous.~~~~~~~~~ Rendell, who was then the mayor of Philadelphia, praised Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam's Philadelphia leadership at a rally in 1997. He expressed his "respect for the nation of Islam" and praised local Islam leader Rodney Mohammed for "the intensity of his beliefs, for the decency of his soul, and for the strength of his courage." ~~~~~~~~~~ Through her relationship with Rendell, Clinton and her team have as close -- or closer -- a tie to Farrakhan as does Obama.~~~~~~~~~ However, it was Obama who got tied to the Farrakhan wagon, and not Clinton. She got a pass. I found it interesting that Rendell was not asked to distance himself from Farrakhan or the Nation of Islam in order to support Clinton.~~~~~~~~~ Nor should he have been asked to. Clinton was not asked to distance herself from Rendell for his praising of Farrakhan, and the notion was never raised by the media or anyone else.~~~~~~~~~ We often read columns, watch the news and listen to debates with our own biased political filter. Republicans and Democrats alike are guilty of this. We usually don't like the comments made by an analyst unless they lean toward our point of view. As is said in politics, there are three sides to every story.~~~~~~~~~ Your side, my side, and the truth.~~~~~~~~~ In the case of the tangled web between Obama, Clinton and Farrakhan, we didn't get Obama's side or the truth. We got Clinton's side.~~~~~~~~~ The bottom line is this: Neither Louis Farrakhan or Jeremiah Wright should determine this election, no more than certain endorsements of John McCain should determine the general election.~~~~~~~~~ I am more concerned about who can keep America safe from terrorists, who can create opportunity for all, who has the best plan for educating our kids (1.2 million kids drop out of school every year), and who best understands that real change doesn't require just talk, but real, genuine change.~~~~~~ Hillary Clinton and Farrakhan Positive Relationship ~ it appears in the African American Communities that Louis Farrakhan or Jeremiah Wright are “BACK DOOR SUPPORTERS” of Hillary Clinton.~~~~~~~ White Americans I pray you will "WAKE UP" and see the games the Clintons are playing with them ~ it's shameful!~~~~~~~ It’s all about money and control..~~~~~~~ Note: Hillary and Billy Clinton wishes to get back in office "By Any Means Necessary." That makes me nervous!~~~~~~ Drevelyn “D” Minor is voting for Senator Obama!~~ |
Georgia, thank you for taking the time. Although I had some information about the Civil War, the Civil Right Act and the Democratic party, I found your research very educational, especially the second posting. All I can say is that it looks like some democrats took the time to figure out a way to change the mind of Afro-American and lure them into their party. The only way they came up with was to offer them a lot of free-bees. That is why SOME Afro-Americans still believe today that the government owes them everything. Proof of which was Karina in New-Orleans, when it was announced days ahead and delayed twice, a lot of people helped themselves and got out but those who believe that the government owes them sat around and waited to be picked up. Now, everything is being blamed on the government. The government my have had its flaws, but I still believe that those people should have initiated the first step. I am sorry about what I have to say, but this election and the reason why Obama is still in the running shows that we got it wrong. I bet a late southern Afro-American grand-parent is rolling in her grave right to see how history is losing its value at the hands of their offsprings. Thanks again Georgia |

Here's the deal: WE HAVE THE POWER TO DEFEAT obama. VOTE FOR OUR NEXT PRESIDENT - JOHN MCCAIN. |
There is no one named Osama running for president you moron. As long as you rely on Youtube for your information, you may as well stay home on the toilet on election day - seeing that what you put in your posts is the same thing that you are leaving in the john. |

You are SHAMEFUL, and your "boy" is SHAMEFUL. WE HAVE THE POWER TO DEFEAT OBAMA! VOTE FOR OUR NEXT PRESIDENT - JOHN MCCAIN! |
Brilliant. Lets not vote for someone we believe in, vote instead to defeat someone. Are you anti-freedom? Or are you just vote based on hatred? |

Beautiful post. Thank you. Simple: WE HAVE THE POWER TO DEFEAT obama! VOTE FOR OUR NEXT PRESIDENT-JOHN MCCAIN! |
You also have the ability to stop acting on your xenophobia. Maybe you'll exercise that higher brain function some day as well. |

Flag pin is kinda stupid, anyone can wear it, and it has no meaning in itself. Some pretty questionable people/ politians wear them - they mock the meaning of our flag, and what it stands for. Now it is reduced to a gimmick to enlist votes. |

I find it very sad that a minority that had so much potential to break out of the repression they endured (1960's was a real turning point) has had so many become welfare addicts. Yes I'm ignoring white dependents for this topic, and I'm not including those truly in need, but the Blacks did seem to be making a turn-around. The Black mothers were the fabric that instilled pride in their children and pushed them - what has happened? Why do they just give up and quit going forward, each and evry one who had a parent or grandparent or ggrandparent who fought so hard for equality? You have to wonder why so many are caught in the role of being dependent on the government as opposed to themselves? What happened to that "Black Pride" thing? |

Too funny....
QUOTE Barack Obama apologized Wednesday to a Michigan TV reporter after he called her "sweetie" and dodged her question about autoworkers. ... Agar asked Obama what is he "going to do to help American autoworkers." "Hold on one second, sweetie," Obama replied. "We'll do a press (availability), thanks." He did not reply to Agar's question. END QUOTE http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/s... |

They already endorsed Obama. Hamas too. Ahmed Yousef said, "We like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle" David Axlerod said, "I like John Kennedy too. That's about the only thing we have in common with this gentleman from Hamas. We all agree that John Kennedy was a great president, and it's FLATTERING when anybody says that Barack Obama would follow in his footsteps." Thanks Obama & Co., keep digging! |

Yeah because you guy(s) are so much more sophisticated than the rest of the country up there in the Lehigh Valley.(pretty...yes, nice people...yes, but by no means the epicenter of the "high and mighty"...definitely not worthy of looking down on anyone talking with an accent) |
